Pretty quick and basic question, is my profile viewable by those that haven't made a profile? Debating on the types of pictures I should post to my profile as I need to know first if its possible for my vanilla friends&family to stumble upon it. Yeah its probably still paranoid since they wouldn't be here anyway...but the question still begs

Don't mind the pet. Someone put some hot sauce in his shorts today it seems ;-)

So the answer is yes and no.

On the Collarme.com site, one has to be logged in in order to see your profile. However, if someone was logged on and then logged off, cookies will make surfing profiles available in my experience. Never however assume that everyone logged in here has the best intentions. I know that the people at collarme do what they can to weed out scammers and wankers but since this is a volunteer site, it is a best efforts. I go by the premise that whatever I post here has the potential to be seen by anyone.

The content of these message boards, on Collarchat.com, are indexed by search engines and can be consulted, avatar pic and all without being logged in. I would recommend that if you want to maintain anonymity that you use an anonymous avatar.

Otherwise, have fun and enjoy your time here. You can do like I, and many people I know, do. Send your pictures to those who have earned your trust. Use your judgement. If it doesn't feel right, move on.

That is incorrect. Profiles here are indexed by Google and other search engines, and they can be seen without logging in to CM. Given that anyone can get a CM log-in in minutes, or log in to CM via BugMeNot, etc, it doesn't really matter anyway. Anyone concerned about not being identified here should take basic precautions and not make his or her profile too identifying.

Good to know, about the indexing that is! I learn something new every day. Thanks for the info.

I know it takes seconds to create an account. That is why I always err on the side of caution on these sites anyways.

Actually, it was incorrect in more than one way. Go to the other side, log out, then search for your own username. It doesn't come up at the top (MissSixx is there), but look at the bottom and there is your username. Then click on your username. There is your entire profile, and you're not logged in. I found that out one day when I didn't realize I was logged out, but was.

Nope. Tried it. Says "no profile found". ( And I don't have it hidden.)

Worked for me, DD. Logged out, and my profile came up at the bottom of the page when I searched on my nick.

You don't need an account - even a fake account - to view profiles. You can view them as a guest. All you need to do is type meaningless gibberish into a text box on the "age verification" page, click "I so swear" or whatever, and it takes you straight through to whatever account and whatever pictures you want to look at.
