"It's hard to be a woman in a phallocentric world"

What do you think?

zephyroftheNorth -> RE: Phallocentricity (11/29/2009 11:54:02 AM)

Disagree....I have no trouble whatsoever being a woman in a phallocentric world...assuming that's what it is. I just keep on keeping on and life continues "shrugs". I suspect that many who claim to be held back aren't trying all that hard.

GoddessImaginos -> RE: Phallocentricity (11/29/2009 11:59:04 AM)

I have learned Me a new word today: phallocentricity. Way cool; I can go back to bed now, thanx GM! *muah*

I am living in a phallocentric world, and it aint hard for some girls, they are willing to accept that, and thats all I need to say.

Beautiful when a plan comes togethere,

autonomous being the key word here

LOL, Gypsy

no peener is autonomous though we would like to think so as men, there is a brain attached to it, no matter how inchoately it is coupled.

I prefer being a woman in a phallocentric world.. especially when it is hard.

While this may be an unpopular view... I think that continuing to view the world as phallocentric creates more chances for the world to be phallocentric.

Obviously things are more complicated with you dealing with the cultural traditions and the nitty-gritty of every day life but that is my overall view. Take or leave.

Hierodule -> RE: Phallocentricity (11/29/2009 9:28:52 PM)

Not if you worship cock. Seriously though, I think the western world starting becoming less phallocentric during the late 20th century and continues to move in that direction as we speak.

Well, in my opinion, being that every single person here came from a woman, how did things get like this?  Hmm? lol.

Me either![:D]

And I do not really see it as being phallocentric. Only in the minds of some, but not in mine.

subtlebutterfly -> RE: Phallocentricity (11/30/2009 9:05:24 AM)

Actually.....a highly intelligent well known and respected man is most worried that men are turning into women...of ALL the things he could possibly worry about...
so I decided to believe him and soon we'll be livin in a gynocentric world.....
but....to cut the crap I have never felt I lived in a phallocentric world

mnottertail -> RE: Phallocentricity (11/30/2009 9:06:50 AM)
