I wanna punch this fucker out. He's been dating this chic for like 8 years or so....I know this chic through work (trust me....I'm not interested in her...no really...not at all....let's be clear....etc......okay...she's hot...but really). She's nice (no...really). And....tomorrow I have to go to their house for dinner. She loves him (and no....she's not dragging me along to make a point).... I wanna smack this guy around and tell him to wake the fuck up. Advice?

I'm not sure I understand it clearly. They live together and have invited you for dinner? You are friends or acquaintances with both of them, it seems. If she loves him, isn't that her responsibility to communicate to the guy? If they are living together, isn't that something they would discuss anyway? What is it that you are supposed to do... propose to him that he propose to her? ABORT MISSION!!! Getting involved will be disastrous. You can only do so much when grown people won't be communicative enough to be straight with the person they love. Red

If you can see a train wreck coming, definitely stay off the tracks. About all you can do though, is ask him why he mistreats her when everybody else thinks she's great and he knows there are a dozen guys who would love the chance to treat her right. And ask her the same.
