A splendid thread. What a wonderful day this has been indeed. I am grateful for a life of goodness and blessings with my family and friends. I do wish a Thanksgiving Day of goodness and joy to all.

Today at Thanksgiving dinner, somehow the discussion of St. Nicks day came up. My sixteen year old nephew asked where the traditions came from, and then responded to the answer by saying, 'American's just don't have any holidays or traditions that we started, do we?'
