goodgirl85 -> Collarme problems (11/24/2009 5:07:09 PM)

So I have had an account for ... i dont know... two years or so... and its been awhile since i've been on... however I do log in every few months or so to keep my accoutn active.

I can sign into the forums, but cannot seem to log into Collarme.com with this name and password which are they same. I tried to request new password but nothing comes to my email. I can't find a contact us link so am unsure what to do, but would like to be able to log back into my account.

Can anyone help me please?

thanks,
girl

have you tried logging in from another computer or server, some times that can help ya narrow down the problem

Also, if you have a spam filter your response may get filtered to there.

I know that there have been other people whose passwords inexplicably stop working.
Sometimes, however it is that someone else has changed it without your knowledge...does anyone else have access to your computer or CM acount info?

I do not know if support can send you a new password.
You may have to start a whole new account.

I realize this question may seem to be of the "is your computer turned on" variety, but I don't mean to be insulting. It just occurred to me to ask, since you say that your original registration was a couple of years ago, if perhaps you might have changed the email address you use since then.

Eh? What kind of support staff can't reset an accounts password? If a simple problem like that requires creating a whole new account then I have serious doubts as to the competence of CM's support staff and their ability to deal with more serious problems and situations.

Thank you for all your responses and help. I did try again, a little after writing this post and it worked. Maybe the Mod who moved my post to this section helped out a bit. :)

"My new Master or Mistess has asked for my password, what should I do?

Do not give your account password to anyone, least of all people you recently met on the site. We receive numerous support requests every day from users who gave their password to another user and who now find themselves locked out of their own account because the other person changed the password. Don't let this happen to you! Remember, our support staff is not authorized to give out passwords under any circumstances so, if you give your password to another user, be prepared to accept the consequences."

There are people here who have had password difficulties which have resulted in them needing to change accounts.
If I read the above correctly, it is not a technical reason, but one of policy.

Might just be a glitch. This morning I found I was able to get Cmail and all, but not the forum. Whenever something like this happens, give it a day before jumping off a cliff. The problem I had happened only an hour or two ago and it seems to be fixed now.

Some need their fix in the mornings...

She didn't say she contacted support, she said she couldn't find the "contact us" button.

I never said they had to give out passwords, I said they should reset passwords. Every other community/message board/website does. What if a hacker got their account info with a keylogger or you forgot your password? All they need to do to prove you are the owner of the account is to check the IPs that have accessed the account. That aside if you do give out your password and get ripped off they should remove the account. In fact i'm pretty sure they are required to.
