Earth gets hit with a huge asteroid that wipes out everything

Al Gore and Mikey Moore are going to come out of the closet and marry.......but Barney Frank will burst into the ceremony and shout.. "I have an inconvenient truth to tell!!!!!!!!!!...and confess his long suffering love for Moore.  Composing himself, he offers to be the organist on the honeymoon. In fact, he begs to be.

...as for Mikey...once married to Al....he would become...Michael Moore Gore.....how fitting... :)

You're right, of course. After all he's been eating it for years and is (apparently) still around. I wonder if it's possible to develop an immunity to meatloaf?

I suspect there are many reasons:

Some are waiting for revenge, some, for reward.

Some are infatuated with destruction and death; ‘can’t not look’.

Some see it as a prelude to hope.

Okay. . . what I do not "get" about the movie. . .

Why do they need to fund the ark building ANYWAYS?  It is not like money is going to be used in 2 more years.  Hell, just put it on a credit card.  It really just does not make sense that way.
