Trust me. This is the best compromised sentence this area has seen, and it's about time it all wrapped up. Everyone can go about their lives and Orange County can get back to bungling up other much higher profile cases, such as the Casey Anthony case and the much more recent Gateway Office Building shootings.

As one of the many who lived this case in my backyard, glad to see it's finally over. The only victims in this case were the taxpayers who had to pay for the proceedings. All three of the principles deserve each other.

Not to steal the thread, but what is going on with the Casey Anthony case ? Is there a trial scheduled ?

To be honest, I don't know if a trial date has been officially finalized or not. With all of the convolutions and contortions that has plagued this case, particularly those played out in the media ad nauseam, I've tuned out. Or have tried to.

Still, here's a few links to the local media outlets who all claim to have the absolute latest and most exclusive information and late-breaking changes:

* Central FL News 13 (Bright House Networks news channel): http://www.cfnews13.com/Features/Caylee/default.aspx

* Local6 (Orlando CBS affilate): http://www.clickorlando.com/search/form.html?qt=casey+anthony+trial&cof=FORID%3A11&client=pub-1569153127812452&channel=2519422413&x=0&y=0

* WESH 2 (Orlando NBC affiliate): http://www.wesh.com/caseyanthony/index.html

* WFTV 9 (Orlando ABC affiliate): http://www.wftv.com/index.html (click on the "Casey Anthony" tab)

* MyFOX Orlando (Orlando FOX affiliate): http://www.myfoxorlando.com/subindex/news/anthony_case

Oh yeah, the latest on the astronaut Nowak case can be found elsewhere on those sites as well. ;)

Thanks for the links. I tuned out also. Got tired of seeing that lyer crying in her interviews. I hope they convict her, and I hope she gets the death penalty.

Don't you have better things to hope for? Seriously [:'(] .

At first I thought the same thing servant, but living in the central fla area and hearing ALL the innuendo on it, I sometimes have my doubts.  Do you know (or did you hear) they found a piece of hair stuck to the duct tape around the childs skull that did not belong to Casey or Caylee?  She has one of the best death lawyers available.  At least this lawyer has never lost a case yet.  So, temper your hopes, or at least prepare for the worst of your hopes.

This is my hypothesis....Casey didn't want her parents babysitting cuz they were already arguing over Caylee's custody.  I think (just me lol) that Casey chloroformed her, put her in the trunk of her car, and went off to party.  And the child died.  But I do believe Casey passed the bag (her child) on to someone, who later dumped those remains where they were.  Based on all that....IF its true...she may be able to get off.  Depends on how good her lawyer is.

And as far as Nowak goes...I heard on the news this morning, Nowak is in the navy and is still facing military charges on this.

I just don't see how a longer sentence would "serve" the public in this matter.

That's how I see it popeye. From this civilian's point of view, this whole situation amounted to nothing more than a sophomoric love triangle that went a bit overboard. Not having been in the military myself, but having a sibling that went through a divorce while in the military, I know the armed forces take a very dim view of such shenanigans in the first place, let alone having them become highly public and visible as this affair has become.

I'm surmising there were backroom talks between the civilian court and the military to wrap up the civilian side in relatively short order so that military justice can begin. NASA already kicked these three out because of their indiscretions and I wouldn't be surprised if similar, if not harsher penalties will be handed down upon these three by their respective service branches for letting this get way out of hand.

all she wants is love.   LOL.

this is how soppy soppy people get when they do not love themself prior to loving others.  you can not live your life  only thru another person-- you have to be full of life for you first.   Then if you have love it is a bonus and not the only reason for living.
