Ghastly, shitty thing to happen to a friend, Greta. Good luck to you both.

Thanks. I will know Wednesday how the surgery went and what happens after that. I hope it would be as easy as tumour removed, he is magically healed!

I admit that once more I have decided that he majority of humans is worth about 32 cents, the average cost of a bullet.
I admit that I am beginning to be an equal opportunity hater, I dont give a fuck about religion, race, politics, if they are breathing, then there is a reason to not like them.
I admit that who or whatever is in charge of this universe needs to hit the reset button for humans and start the fuck over.

Greta,

I am so sorry for the terrible news about your friend's tumor.

I admit I found the perfect plot of land
I admit that the description most appealing is 'marginal fair weather road access."
I admit is is 6459 +/- acres at $654.00 an acre (see above for low price justification)
I admit it has been on the market for 5 years and steadily decreasing in price the entire time
I admit that it is 149 miles to the nearest walmart
I admit that after a talk with the agent, who clearly stated that 'the standard off road vehicle will not be able to handle some of the road conditions' makes the property even more appealing.

ShaharThorne -> RE: I Admit It I........ (2/27/2017 6:57:26 PM)

I admit that the property sounds like a dream, Jeff. Need extra guns for the snakes?

nope, got enough guns, powder, brass, rounds, reloading supplies AND I found the perfect vehicle to get to the homesite, a bobbed deuce, 4 foot ground clearance with fording kit....

Of course, if I had the $287000, a Leopard 1A5 MBT would do the trick as well, but I do not think the Colorado Highway patrol be too thrilled with a 68 ton main battle tank roaming their highways.

Oh gods,...you are a hoot! I guess that's why we luvs you so much. *would have the tank on the road just to piss off the troopers*

Give Munchmonster a hug from me. Should he have recovered by now?

yep, back to school, all that good stuff

DesFIP -> RE: I Admit It I........ (2/28/2017 12:21:33 PM)

Serious question, how do you climb in and out of a vehicle with 4' of ground clearance. Do you carry a step ladder?

Dont need a step ladder, IF you know what you are doing AND spent time around a deuce.

Of course, there are these after market step kits that are electric and either deploy when you open the door or when you push a button like a car alarm.

But without those, its kind of like stepping into the stirrup of a saddle, hike on leg up, get it set, and start climbing.

Of course, with the bobbed deuce, I will still have long enough bed for a quad fifty mount, although I have a line on a pair of 20mm Oerlikons, you just in case I need to deal with some damn yankee kamikaze attack, or I want to do some MAJOR duck hunting.

WhoreMods -> RE: I Admit It I........ (2/28/2017 3:34:55 PM)

Presumably you'll need something a lot heavier than that for those rabbits...

DesFIP -> RE: I Admit It I........ (2/28/2017 5:13:40 PM)

I don't want to rain on your parade, but you're not 18 anymore. Creaky joints, arthritis, etc means you might want to consider that after market kit.

And I always needed the mounting block. 5'3" wasn't tall when I was younger and a lot more flexible.

I aint got no problems stepping into a saddle, yet.

And the day I cant step into a saddle is the day they need to bury me.

Actually I am more concerned with Feral hogs.

I mean some of them critters can take a .308 round and dont know to fall over dead, they keep right on a comin!

Besides, the 20mm be perfect fer some of them there skeeters we gots west of the Mississippi.

WhoreMods -> RE: I Admit It I........ (3/1/2017 4:28:53 AM)

Are those formerly domesticated pigs that have gone feral or wild boar?

Domesticated pigs that have devolved into your worst nightmare.

Basically, domesticated pigs go back to their wild ancestors in one generation after escaping captivity.

WhoreMods -> RE: I Admit It I........ (3/1/2017 10:02:09 AM)

Gotcha. Are they at least edible when you shoot them?

The sows are, for the most part, but the old boars, well, the meat tends to smell like someone pissed on a fire when you cook it, so, not so much.

You ever get over this way, I would think you might find a bit of adventure on a night hog hunt.

I have watched boars slash tires with their tusks, take a bumper off a truck and one unlucky soul last week had his leg ripped open, earned himself about 43 stitches in the process.

They tend to get a wee bit pissed off when you only hurt them.
