I admit that last evening, the drain line from the house to the septic tank kinda blew (reminded me of a geyser.)
I admit that my sister, niece's boyfriend and I started repairs at sun up....
I admit that it appeared that whoever designed the system had no clue as to what solid waste does when confronted with a 90 degree turn in the drain line....

I admit that after 3 trips to lowe's (fix one fractured pipe to find another one) and three joints of pipe, 12 couplers, 2 45 degree elbows and discovering that who ever put the system in 20 years ago figured that DUCT tape was the appropriate item to put the lines together, it is fixed.

I admit this whole episode has given me an idea for a television series, "Idiot Red neck installations and fixes that normal red necks would avoid."

I admit that Christmas prep was very much a family affair growing up, so it seems a bit empty and pointless to do on one's own.

I admit it also hurts not to hear back from someone I thought I'd connected with.

I admit things will look up once I head to my brother's next weekend.

I know what you mean about prep being family orientated, My eldest is the same:)
From my childhood, when we would have a housefull, everyone had a job to help get it ready.
I hope that just means that the door is open for someone spectacular to come along:)

:) He passed his pre chemo testing and he is waiting for a bed to open up, so he should be in before the 23rd. He will be getting his inline thingy, (cant think of the damned name) a couple of days before hand.

Handels Messiah :) yes I can understand why, I have gotton into the "Pentatonix" christmas songs this year...I love their sound, and their "Joy to the world" is this years favourite...I do like me some christmas carols(one of the things I loved about being in the choir)

I admit I think the inline thingy is probably a mediport.

I admit when I had mine put in, they said I had a beautiful jugular.

I admit that's one of the odder compliments (I think) I've received.

LMAO yes a compliment...I have disappearing veins, so I know that a nice vein is a blessing.. Last time I had a laparoscopy, they had to port thru my feet.

Good luck for your hubby on the treatments. He will be in my thoughts and on several prayer circles.

I admit that the suture site is a bit infected. Calling the doc tomorrow and see if he can arrange an emergency appt or some antibiotics. Damn you MRSA!!!

I admit that redneck plumbers seem to only know 3 things.

Shit flows down hill
Payday is Friday
Always wash your hands before you eat.

( I've seen a few that I suspect are unaware of #3 )

Actually when I took my test for a lisc. it was:

Smoke goes up,
Shit goes down,
Payday is on Friday
and
also it was common knowledge among journeymen and masters that you don't pick your nose.

We tried to teach that to apprentices ------- sometimes it worked and sometimes not.

I know what he has got there, a cheep az butt whole put my system without an inspection,

cause he could not read the directions on the duck tape.

I saw a lot of this kind of "krap" during the 30 years of my pipe twistin experience.

adding sufficient cleanouts is a good idea too.

Before you hire anyone to work on your house, get references, and
then get more references and then get it in writing.

I admit that I have missed that one a few times too. to my regret and consternation.

Around here it's not uncommon to discover your pipes were made of clay back in the 50s and one day they go back to the earth.

And water mains are still being replaced that were hollowed out tree trunks. They first contaminate the water as they decay, and then they spring leaks.

I admit neurosurgery in 2013 helped a lot, but it's still not quite right.

I admit it's started acting up again, and it hurts like hell.

I admit I don't do (nonerotic) pain well.

I admit I know I need to deal with it, but I really don't want to start a new medical adventure just before Christmas.

I admit Christmas is one of the few holidays I have not spent in a hospital, and I'd really like it to stay that way.
