I admit that I am ready to blow a gasket. My bank raised the service charge on an account $2 which does not set well with my budget. Tis bad enough they wanted me to go paperless (which I did so I can save $3 but to claim it right back literally...[sm=anger.gif]

I admit that when Mom gets up, we will cancel the accounts that I have and switch banks (which means getting hold of Social Security and going through the mess all over again). Can you say clusterfuck?

I admit that I am going through yarn today after checking the rose bushes and getting limbs out of the yard. We replaced the battery in the lawn mower (charged it up) and Mom had the yard mowed except where the limbs are at.

I admit that between the two banks and the Credit Union my mom and I have - we pay $25 total in bank fees.

I admit I had to get the Credit Union opened up because my bank left our town with nothng but an ATM. In a couple months I won't have a banking fee from the Credit Union and it will be totally free.

I admit I keep telling myself I should close at least one of the bank accounts but we've had them so long, I feel ridiculously disloyal and guilty for some reason.

I admit, speaking of feeling guilty; you know you have issues when you feel rude and guilty for hanging up on the automated operator (sighs).

Your new bank will notify Social Security for you. You just sign some paperwork and they take care of all that. That's how we changed banks.

Strangely we changed from a bank that was completely free, even checks, to a bank where we have to buy our checks. We're snowbirds and it's much more convenient to have a bank that has branches wherever we are. So we are paying for the convenience.

Mom did calm me down a little bit but we both agree that we will go to the bank ASAP next time we go to town and have a wee 'discussion' with the manager. That is 2 dollars that can be used for my meds.

I admit I did a stupid thing yesterday. I was feeding the cats and I pick up India for a closer look. She did not like that and left a few scratches to prove it. She did let me pick her up later and we finally determine that she is in fact female.

I admit that I picked up Cleo and was giving her some loving scratches which she was enjoying when Mom got pissed because of the flea problem we just started having. Mom is threatening to get some sulfur to help kill those little buggers off. I rather use DE but don't know where to find it.

I admit that Mom has finally recovered from the cough that she has had since October. She still tires out a bit but it is helping her sleep through the night.

I admit that I am hungry but there are no sweets in the house...I HATE DIETING!!!!

I admit that I should get the adapter for the laptop today. Mom is chewing at the bit to play with it...but she has to wait while I do some work on it. It has Vista...enough said.

Diatomaceous earth can be found anywhere that sells swimming pool/hot tub supplies, or some places that sell aquarium supplies, depending how much you plan to use it. It's used in some of the filtration systems.

It's too bad you don't live locally. I recently switched My in-ground pool from a DE filter to a sand filter and I've got about 25 lbs of DE left over. Personally I prefer to nuke the entire house with a flea bomb (containing IGR) which lasts years on fleas and also conks out other bugs in the house, like buffalo bugs that get into vintage photos and linens. Flea-treat the pets as well. Our cat hasn't had a flea in YEARS.

Oh, and since you are treating your household for fleas be sure to get some tapeworm wormer from your vet, since fleas are involved in the tapeworm life cycle.

If one is using DE to kill fleas it is important to use food-grade.

And it is pretty easy to find on-line.

I admit, thanks Ash, and I'm glad you're doing well. I'm doing ok myself too thanks. I'm taking advantage of the sun we've been having for the last couple of days here as the weather has been miserable for the last six weeks. The plants have enjoyed it though :-)

I admit Master and I are together 8 years today and it continues to get better.

I admit when we met in-person the first time 8 years ago, we decided to meet at the beach in NJ and our "first date" lasted a week.

I admit it was one of the most exciting and best weeks of my life. :)

I admit when the week was over, I had to go back to PA and he had to go back to NC, it was one of the saddest days of my life.

I admit 3 weeks later I drove to NC and I knew it was where I belonged, it was home.

I admit that my adrenaline is still high...because 3/4 of an hour ago (it's about 1 a.m. now) there were gunshots right outside my house. They presume the man who did the shooting was the same guy who had knocked on my door half an hour to an hour before, asking if that was our truck outside. My son said no and pointed to the correct house.

I admit that I thought nothing of it at the time, as the neighbor has several friends coming to our street all the time and frequently ask which house is his, and/or for us to move our vehicle so they won't hit it when trying to pull out. Yes, at all times of the day or night.

I admit that the police have finally stopped blocking our road with their squad cars.

I admit that I've told several people that there's just too much drama going on in my life these past two weeks. I wonder what tomorrow's installment will bring.

I admit that this house is so quiet now that my old furbaby Angel had to be put down on the 17th. The other cats, including the rambunctious "children", are so silent and almost solemn that I need another vacation to get away from all of this.
