I admit that I had a bit of laser surgery on my eye today. I admit that the Doctor and the Resident had a mix-up. I admit that they both thought the other had given me the local anesthesia. I admit that neither of them had, and I didn't know that I was supposed to have it. I admit that I went through most of a minor procedure without anesthesia. I admit that I was a bit miffed when I found out it wasn't supposed to hurt this much, but there was a small mis-communication. I admit that in these kinds of situations, he has always been there to buy my Cakelove, hug me, and make it all better. I admit that he is not here to do so at the moment. I admit that instead, I bought myself a box of Fruity Pebbles, and now have the shakes like Calvin did from Calvin and Hobbes, because I have eaten about four bowls.

i admit that if i had someone point a laser at my eye and i was conscious, there would be little bits of testicles all over the operaing room. i admit that if gurly cant get rid of that charlie horse, i might be willing to bite it into submission for her.... i admit that i HATE misunderstandings and that i REALLY REALLY REALLY cant hang with this shit tonite.

Well, truthfully, I probably made it sound worse than it was. It was just local anesthesia, a few numbing drops, but it really made a difference in the pain I felt. I just couldn't believe they both forgot, and didn't bother to ask each other. Of course, it is partially my own fault because I thought something was up, and didn't ask right away. My own niceness caused me a hell of a lot of pain today. Not anymore.

Thank you for the laugh. Kali, thank you for the love. I did get a chance to talk to him, incredibly briefly today, so it made me feel better. I also took a very long nap, and some Motrin, which also made me feel better. I am doing okay, but I will have to go back for more laser in January. That is the hardest part. Knowing it is not over.
