Master wants to be able to watch me 24/7 without my knowledge if he is or isn't watching. I am not that technical, any help would be appreciated.

These days with wireless webcams and such, the whole thing couldn't be easier. Try searching ebay for "wireless webcam".

Really easy with webcams actually.  Just get a decent webcam and hook it to your computer, get a little program called yawcam, turn it on, leave it on. :)

My Master shares this same interest and we plan to have surveillance cameras in the house when we move in together in January. It doesn't have anything to do with mistrust. Maybe some voyeurism on his part and exhibitionism from my end. But its also its the feeling that he is "there" with me and (potentially) watching me, even when he is away.

I did the same to thing to a slave that I shared a house with years back. I put a camera in her room - this was 'back in the day' and it was actually an old CCTV camera out of a convenience store that I bought from a classified ad in the paper. The recorder and TV monitor were on a shelf in my bedroom, but I never really kept the monitor on.

I mainly did it in an effort to take away any kind of privacy that she had, and to ensure that she was following the 'house rules'. Logisitcally it was a pain the arse, 'cause obviously I was never going to watch hours of tape, although I did used to randomly check it in fast forward mode once or twice a week. Also, she never knew when it was on or off.

A little tip. I put a large mirror on the wall opposite the camera so that the room had no blind spots.

I love this idea. The whole concept of him being able to watch me at any given moment, at his whim, is hot.
He has put a tracking device on my truck in the past and I always assume that he has one on it now.
For us, it's not a matter of trust. It's a matter of him having control and knowledge of all aspects of my life.

I like to have things like this set up from time to time, if I'm downstairs in the chambers and watching tv, sitting with my laptop, just peek in on my pet.  Sometimes I can catch him being cute as all hell, bouncing in his chair and singing or something of the sort.  It's wonderfully adorable and certainly not out of distrust.

Also, there are programs that you can both install on your computers that will allow him the ability to control your computer from his, doing things like turning your webcam(s) on from anywhere else in the world should they get turned off somehow.

Suffered a mind altering partial castration before attempting to rescue submissive from unknown intruder.

Was in upper bathroom chamber shaving testicles as I observed assailant approach submissive on cam.

Uhura was unaware of impending attack as she was cooking my favorite breakfast of Eggs Venezuela.

Upon entering food preparation arena, withstanding blinding pain, I discovered an insect on the camera lens.

Spent better part of morning removing video surveillance equipment from every room of home base.

I don't understand why slave is in here asking us how to do it.  Why doesn't the inquisitive Master just call in a tech crew and have one installed?

Because it's a lot faster, cheaper and better to do it ones self than pay a bunch of goons to come into the house, stomp around in your personal space all day and probably get it wrong in the end. ;)  Just my thoughts on it though.  Hi Wynd hon. :)

Maybe part of their thing is that the slave has to learn about it and set it all up.

edited to add: this probably isn't the best site to learn about it if that is the case. I'm sure there are dozens of sites that have do-it-yourself home webcam surveillance info

Let him install it. Even if he is distant, he can travel if he is sufficiently interested and motivated.
