Fetish is a very broad term so I dont think it gets used as much as it might in a situation where it would be less offensive to clump all fetishes together. Because we generally all talk about such specific things a conversation referring to "fetishes" as though they were a solid body of practise would die pretty quickly...it may even go something like this: Babycake2358957: Does anyone have fetishes? I consider a fetish something that goes beyond oh-god-yeah-I-like-that and into a preoccupation borderline obsessive thing. I consider it something that when forced to do without, the person really can not enjoy sexual experiences. It has to be balanced IMO. I once met a guy with a hair fetish. He was also trained as hairdresser and wanted to cut my hair, wash my hair, color my hair, etc. Great - free styling! I went to his in-home salon and actually it creeped me out a little. He was harmless, but the dreamy way he caressed my hair moved into some sniffing and sighing. This was followed by more touching and trembling and distant looks. By the time we were rinsing the color out (and rinsing and rinsing and rinsing as rubbed at it indefinitely and vacantly) I decided I had enough. I did not let him cut it -- I was worried the quivering my result in an unkempt do.
