Maybe it's not what they are putting in the sausage but who ?

I remember saying to someone "Who was that sausage ?". It was really bad, and considering the venue..............

Details on request about that day. But the sausage sucked.

lol, yes at least we're not detroit!  my family member is a cop who had been to that house before sowell moved in in 2005.  he said there was no way the sausage shop would have been responsible for the smell, there's nothing quite like the smell of a decomposing body.  my family member retired from the police about ten yrs ago, so he wouldn't have been around when sowell was there, but he definitely remembers that sausage shop.

Ummmmm, trying to be delicate here, both out of respect for sensibilities & out of respect for the forums guidelines regarding 'spoilers' . . . . .

Ever hear that saying about those who like law & sausage prolly oughta avoid knowing about the making of either?

I'm the kinda pervert that's jus' gotta know, even tho' I like . . . . .

Actually, all joshing aside, it's not so much that sausage is special, it's that meat processing produces a side odor that's rather indelible & full of rotted flesh smells, & on an industrial scale even more so. Amongst other things, the rotting of meat is generally a regular part of the processing into food, in a controlled manner. To allow pork, beef, & etc to 'age' renders the flesh more delectable . . . . . .

For more details about how horribly wrong sausage making can go, consult Upton Sinclair's 'The Jungle', otherwise, 'nuff said . . . .. .

Police said they discovered the remains of four more people at the house of Anthony Sowell, a convicted rapist, in Cleveland Ohio, after the bodies of six women were unearthed there last week.

Detectives said the latest four bodies were found in the back yard which is still being excavated. A skull was also found wrapped in a paper bag in a bucket in the basement.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/6497493/Police-find-four-more-bodies-at-home-of-suspected-serial-killer.html

CBS mentioned that neighbors complained for years about the smell, but not much was really done.

The incredible parts are that neighbors complained of the smell of "dead bodies" for years! Using those specific words. Wouldn't one think that the first time someone came up missing and a complaint of that smell came through it would be investigated a little deeper? Instead a food processing plant in the area overhauled twice because the onus was attributed to them.

Even more incredible he's on parole and home visits were made. How did those that visited never smell anything even if they never entered the premises???? I think that kind of tells us that home visits weren't being made at all.

I read this same article, they're now saying that some of those 10 bodies may go back years. Same thing with Gacy in Chicago. Same thing with in Milwaukee. Sigh.

You're back.

Oops I think I erred. eleven bodies but there was an extra skull laying around.

Watch for my next thread.

I missed the part that said any of these women were "dates" or that he had met any of them online, at Alt or anywhere else.

Maybe he just flat out kidnapped them?

Does this open the door to the possibility; even the brightest of us can be fooled, or would it simply imply; the people he got his hands on were ‘idiots’ to the game of dating?

What you say is true. I was only asking for opinions of the situation if that were the case; not intended to imply it was.

Kim (idiot in the game of dating)

And Dahmer grew up in the NE Ohio area.  In fact, his first murder was here.

Our new claim to fame, breeding ground for serial killers.

Edited to add that I forgot this guy:

I'm afraid it even gets a little scarier, Lady E. He may have found some of his victims on Alt.com. Here's an article about his Alt profile, which is no longer up.

That's great.

One more reason for the BDSM community to be labeled as perverts and criminals.

Vendaval -> RE: Cleveland horror show (11/6/2009 6:43:33 AM)

Fast Reply -

I think that reality of what was going on in that house was so horrid and gruesome that no one in the community wanted to consider the real source of that smell and the missing women.

The Browns had their chance to seize the center stage, and they dropped the ball. I guess that just leaves sausage factories and serial killers as Cleveland's claim to fame.

The Cavs.

Lebron and Shaq.

NBA title here we come.

Psychopaths. Worst case scenario. That is what this is.
Sad to say, as much as the case shock me, it doesn’t surprise me one little bit.
The BDSM world attracts psychopaths like bees to honey. It is by far the minority which is killers, but they can do serious harm to anybody’s mental health. It cannot be stressed hard enough the importance of arming oneself with the knowledge to recognize them before entering in to any form of submission.
The signs of the disorder shows up actually very early in a relationship. The problem is to really see it for what it is, because it mostly looks like the complete opposite.
To quote Alvin A Dahl (Professor of psychiatry at Oslo University, Head of Norway’s forensic psychiatric unit and chairman of the European psychopathology society)
Psychopaths are often extremely intelligent. They can be exceptional charming. They are often very god at reading their victims signals so to say the right things. However it is all a front and in the end they will leave their victims both psychically and mentally battered. Cast aside when they have sucked them dry. We often see the victims in the psychiatric care system where they come in destitute, their networks completely destroyed and cut off from their families and former friends. They often suffer from various psychoses and can need years of therapy. Many never recovers.
Well if that is not a god reason to spend like 20 $ on a book and reading it, so you know what to look for, then I don’t know what is.
