I know it sounds scary but is not meant in a Biblical sense. Dying just creates too many problems. I know that means nobody would be allowed to have babies, but think of all the money that would save.

Dad died in May, and sometime in June or so I thought of someone I failed to call. An old friend of my Grandfather's. He would've definitely went to the funeral, and would run into some people he knows there, but it's too late now. What do you say to someone in that instance ?

So it occurred to me, what if one of us died ? Who would know ? The rest would be sitting here wondering if they just don't like us anymore, lost interest or what ? Even if you have only phone contact with someone, if they croak, somebody else will eventually answer their phone. But what of people who correspond through email or an internet forum ?

In the old days, pen pals might not find out right away, but eventually someone opens their mail. You might get a letter back "This is ____________ and I regret to inform you that ___________ has passed on, etc. etc.". Not only is there nothing like this on the net, people frequently do not even know each others' names.

The privacy is nice, but like a double edged sword it cuts both ways. Or should privacy supercede the grave ? By that I mean do you think that after someone is dead you should not open their personal correspondence ? Once you're dead somebody will be going through all your stuff anyway, but now that notion caught my mind. Maybe there is more than meets the eye to that old phrase "I wouldn't be caught dead <insert bad experience here>".

I don't dwell on death, I think it is a part of life in a way. Let's not get emotional here, this is a topic like any other.

So how do we know ?

Just some Friday morning thoughts. If it squicks you, sorry. Just try to think of it as a "What If".

We have each other .
We have mutual friends who come here and who we know in life, so if something did happen... all our friends would be contactable.

When they haunt you and no longer need a webcam to invade your privacy.

At one point the ghost only invaded the privacy of people they know but now however they can go anywhere globally.

Also when someone doesn’t declare they are leaving and you haven’t seen them in a while then they are probably dead. Also if their typing ends mid sentence there is the possibility they were crossing the road without looking beyond their mobile device and a tractor got them.

In a way- one can not die when there is not ample funds to dispose of the corpse.

My sister is the one who will go thru my stuff when I pass.  She is the only one who might understand any of it.

Cmail is totally private.  Being somewhat like an internal email system on a network, it can use differnt software etc. It does. It is not scanned by the governmernt. While they can show up at the door with paperwork, they can't scan it and find where to bring said paperwork.

Now here's a fucking trip if I ever thunk one up. Run a scam, but require membership in some site that has a similar email system. Lull them into a sense of security.

You don't know what it's like to be the the bad Man, to be the sad Man, behind brown eyes.

But really, I am not allowed to die. I would leave a 68 year old Mother and a sister three years my junior. None of us have heirs, and don't really want any. But all this money and property has to go somewhere, Where ?

Greetings Master T,

Have you considered selecting a number of charties whose good work you support to inherit your property? It would help others and your name would be carried on in a way through the charity.

Put your assets in a trust. Direct that said trust be used to poke the agencies of your choice with sticks at every available opportunity. Set up an infrastructure similar to NumbersUSA.com and hound proponent agencies from beyond the grave. Make it akin to being pecked to death by ducks.

Just one of my many odd ideas...

FR, after read thru

Fascinating, Termy . . . .

My ex died, unexpectedly & tragically young, last December. Weirdly enough, exactly 2 years previously (to the day) he had posted a blog on his MySpace account about not knowing what happened to people who just disappear off of social networking sites . . . .. .

My mom passed a few years ago, so death & its sequelae had already been much on my mind. Which all got me thinking on this very topic.

I have 3 adult offspring, & a bunch of other family & even sufficient friends, that my passing will be noted by some. & I'm a big believer in wills & etc communications of intent about all this stuff . . . . .

So. After my ex passed I selected a coupla my kinky lady friends as my 'kink executors' who's job will be to (a) divvy out my toys, rope, etc, & (b) post notices & etc on my social networking sites, letting my social circle know what's happened . . . . . . My lady friends know, vaguely, about this, & I'll leave detailed instructions, passwords, & etc. I'd already prepped similar for my kids about what to do with me in the event of my incapacity as well as my death . . . . .

eehh..I've disappeared from online for a year or more at times. I came back and no one even noticed and to be honest it wasn't that important to me either.

Interesting.

OK if I need help getting rid of those pesky houses or money I'll let you know. But really this a different can of worms. If I croak before my Mother that is a terrible thing to do to her. Now I can wait until she dies and do whatever, but then that'll leave my sister all alone. I don't think she could handle that so well. So I must outlive everyone, and my sister is three years younger than I, and if my death might be untimely, her's would be moreso.

Now that I think about shit before doing it, I am fucked. I am in a trap. Now every time I think about getting out the old 38 and shooting someone, or running their stupid ass over with a car, I think of this first. In a way it's like a trap.

Never love and you'll never cry. Never care and you'll never be disappointed. Never trust and you will never get screwed over.

But then were you ever really alive ?
