I like Canadians, despite their insistence on having Thanksgiving during the wrong month. [:D]

Tell me about it... We had Thanksgiving dinner tonight and it just doesn't feel right. This might be the one thing that I don't quite get living here in Canada. Thanksgiving kicks off the Christmas season... here it kicks off Halloween and snow... the snow part I like; we have been getting flurries for four days now and I just love it, but I really miss my Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends.  Can't wait to see you all heading south in the next month or so.  Don't forget.  We do the US version of Thanksgiving at my place as usual.  As in the past 3 years, dinner will be served outside on the patio, weather permitting (crosses fingers as there is NO WAY 12 people are going to be able to be stuffed into the motor home for dinner).

When all is said and done, we'll all be stuffed and hopefully a bit tipsy before the night is done.

That is odd.

Any day is a good day for a nice dinner with loved ones tho...

You better hope that 'virginpotty' doesn't see this thread. She thinks that Columbus was another Hitler.

What this has to do with the thread is not clear to me.

She isn't even on the Columbus thread.

That said, I hope my Canadian friends had a great Thanksgiving.  A close friend of mine is Canadian but moved to the States with her family a long time ago.  She gets to celebrate both Thanksgivings.  Cool!

Kyra, is there anyway for you all to have TWO Thanksgivings?

Arpig -> RE: Happy Thanksgiving ....... (10/12/2009 7:04:32 PM)

Well I am glad you all decided to follow my family's old tradition, no matter what date you celebrate it on.

BKSir -> RE: Happy Thanksgiving ....... (10/12/2009 7:14:12 PM)

LOL, I was just calling the pet to wish him a happy thanksgiving. :)  Happy Thanksgiving to all of my wonderful friends to the north. *HUGS*

Marc2b -> RE: Happy Thanksgiving ....... (10/12/2009 7:54:37 PM)

I think I'm seeing double.

Oh well, it never hurts to be freindly twice:

Once again my neighbors to the west get it wrong. Sigh. I don't know what we are going to do about you. You get holidays mixed up, you don't know how to spell words like "color" or "center," you have a wierd obsession with Tim Hortons... Still... Happy Thanksgiving.

Hey I'm in the West and even *I* don't get the obsession with Hortons lol.
