Hey all-

Just filled out my profile, so I'm somewhat burnt out on the "put down your life in text boxes" bit - perhaps I'll expand them later. Seriously, a lot of the 'interests/hobbies/etc' sections are really restrictive - but then, I dont know how many people look at those anyway as opposed to profile text, journals and photos.

An online friend recommended I check this place out, so I'm giving CM a try - I honestly don't know what to expect here. Quite frankly a part of me keeps expecting to see some sort of "here is where you pay to keep going" prompt, but so far so good. I'd love to be optimistic, but experience and caution tend to make me cynical.

In all seriousness I'd love to just hop into a chatroom with people from Maryland, but I don't see anything like that - so I'll be picking through the site over the next little bit to see what it has to offer. I tend to examine and consider things to death - that pickiness and precision is part of who I am, for better or worse.

You can read my profile for more, but upshot is that I am seeking a submissive girl. I'm not the type to go through a girl a week, either - I want to build something permanent. Cliche? Maybe - but I make a point of trying to be as honest as I can, so may as well start here.

I had a relationship with a submissive, but it was cut off by forces outside of our control. I'm not sure I could be satisfied with pure vanilla anymore, even though I am still relatively new to the lifestyle; the devotion, respect and trust from a submissive are all but impossible to find elsewhere. I feel that in many senses submissives can be more honest with themselves and their partners; I want to find someone close so that we can share that again.

I invite input, feedback, advice, greetings, etc - seriously, I'll entertain just about anything so long as I can read it (excessive netspeak is a bit of a turnoff). I am not so proud as to think I have nothing to learn.

So yeah - hello everyone, and here's hoping that CM turns out to be as good as its recommendation!

Hi! Welcome..

You'll find that many people on the other side dont bother to read profiles at all...

That being said, the more salient info about yourself (vanilla likes/dislikes, etc), the better your chances of finding someone compatible. Also, the more you post here on the forums, the more views you'll get from people who DO read!

Whilst this is sadly true for me it also tells me a lot about the person when I realise that he didn't read it

My thanks to everyone who responded.

I've had a chance to dip into the chatrooms briefly - while amusing, I'm not sure much linking up is going to happen there.

I guess the best I can do is take GreedyTop's advice and add a bit more information about likes/dislikes - and hope that I don't scare people off. I am a bit curious exactly what you meant by "people on the other side" - submissives?

Either way, here's hoping - nothing to lose for now but time.

Hello Daeryn,
Welcome to CM. You mentioned the chat rooms. I've been to a number of them, and the best one I've found is Caves of BDSM. It's a chat room, not role play. They are small but have good conversations, and the people are really sweet. I've met a few of them in real life.

What seems to be the strongest community on CM (IMHO) are the people on the threads. *That would be HERE, the message boards* A number of us interact, meet, chat on line or on the phone, date, marry each other, argue, fuck, play together - you get the picture.

We have really good discussions (also IMHO) as well as get silly with the best of them. Stop by the Polls and Other Random Stupidity. We flirt. Whooaaa do we flirt!
