Uhm... I don't know. It's still pretty syrupy and overly sentimental. I didn't know there were earlier versions of it - I only knew of the Terry Jacks version which plauged my childhhood during the seventies.

Air Supply 'Here I am'
It may be ironic, but this is the one band which always makes me consider strangling myself. I'm well aware that songwriters get ideas for songs in almost any conceivable situation, but surely not in the bathroom when you're dealing with a bout of severe constipation.

Right Said Fred 'I'm too sexy'
Such a shame that this DJ didn't consider themselves too sexy for this private party. The low point is when the lead 'singer' Richard Fairbrass attempts to 'sing' in the chorus.

R.E.M. 'Shiny happy people'
It's one thing when you have a song which upsets you, but this is a song where you get the impression that whoever is singing it is out to upset you and they're trying to make it personal.

Cher 'Believe'
This is a song which Cher appears to sing with the aid of text to speech software probably of the same type as Microsoft Narrator which you find in the Accessibility menu of Windows XP.

Mariah Carey 'Emotions'
I thought the world was a much better place until I was reminded that Mariah Carey, who admittedly I'm not a fan of, sang this. She may have a great vocal range, but this song gives me a migraine.

Cheeky Girls 'Cheeky Song'
The only conclusion I can draw is this song may sound better when you've drunk enough alcohol to lose complete control of your senses and body movements. If you hear it when you're sober, you may desperately want to drink that amount of alcohol just to obliterate any experience or memory of this song.

There were others such as some rap artist singing 'I'll be missing you', I'm almost sure I heard Britney Spears' voice, and others which I don't even want to think about.

This thread is therapy.
