LaTigresse -> RE: screen names (10/8/2009 7:11:33 AM)

Mine was actually thought up by a woman I was involved with at the time I joined. She was French/American.

dreamerdreaming -> RE: screen names (10/8/2009 7:30:37 AM)

Mine is from a song. Only, I bungled it. Those aren't really the words.

S'alright, I like mine better.

It suits me. [:)]

And I love my cloudy blue sky!

LadyHibiscus -> RE: screen names (10/8/2009 8:01:32 AM)

My business name is Hibiscus, and that's my nic in the doll community.  For reasons unknown to me, my own name, Francine, is madly popular in the CD community.  All the iterations of Francine, miss, lady, etc were taken when I changed my nic from DominantPrincess.  So, I became Hib everywhere!  But of course plain old Hibiscus was already taken as well!  IT IS A PLOT!

Hibiscus are my favourite flower, which is how I named the business eons ago.  Amazing how many people have NO idea what it means.

OttersSwim -> RE: screen names (10/8/2009 8:11:56 AM)

I have gone by Otter in Pagan circles for a number of years.  Otter is taken here on CM, so I decided on Ottersswim as that, IMO, is when the otter is at it's best - multiple otters in the water swimming together, graceful, playful, and simply wonderful!

Those are three words (well, 4 words) to which I aspire.  [;)]

divi -> RE: screen names (10/8/2009 8:37:31 AM)

LPslittleclip -> RE: screen names (10/9/2009 7:32:24 AM)

little clip was my cb handle as a kid and when i was collared by my Mistress she allowed me to keep it adding Her initials of ownership. my parents handles were Barber and Dehlia

aidan -> RE: screen names (10/9/2009 10:09:28 AM)

My name is gaelic for "fire" or "little fire", depending which translation you want to go by. I took it from my first D&D character (and the protagonist of my first novel), Aidan Aiuruloki, which translates roughly as "Firey Little Dragon." Originally I picked it simply because I wanted a screen-name that was an actual name, but Mistress thinks it is highly appropriate. :D

pyroaquatic -> RE: screen names (10/9/2009 12:01:00 PM)

Pyroaquatic.

Pyro - Fire
Aqua - Water

Tic.... well, I have no freaking clue. I think it is a suffix.

I wanted to be weird and attempt to explain my contradictions that exist in my head (and now in yours).

Wa wa WA wHA?

ShaharThorne -> RE: screen names (10/9/2009 1:01:51 PM)

Shahar is old Persian/old Hebrew for Dawn, which is my favorite comic book character. I used it in roleplaying sessions and Thorne was the family name we gamers came up with.

dreamerdreaming -> RE: screen names (10/9/2009 1:21:39 PM)

I think its fabulous.  [:)]

Wheldrake -> RE: screen names (10/9/2009 1:55:30 PM)

& one of my many perversions is I like the tools of business, especially marketing, & I kinda tend to think 'naturally' in those frames & I definitely think of dating as a 'marketing campaign' . . . . . (& if that ain't surreal enough for you spend a second or two contemplating that I'm a Marxist, too, lol) . .. . . . .

Marketing... shudder... that's almost a hard limit, except of course for the branding part. I've got nothing against demons, however. And yes, I'm a little surprised there aren't more "demon" names on these forums.

As for my own name... Wheldrake was a masochistic poet in a Michael Moorcock novel. As I recall, he was actually a bit of a brat, so I try not to identify with him too closely. The two of us just share a fondness for suffering and language.

IBused -> RE: screen names (10/9/2009 3:13:43 PM)

Fuck it...I'm changing mine.  WineWhineWineWomenWithWhiningMe        ooooh, I like that.
