OK.  I am day 3 of my "mass doom strike."  I have lightened up and feel good.  Taking in music and short comedy clips.

In one regard the world is a mirror of us.  When I paid the water bill some lady went off on me on how I parked- I chose to not receive her miserable energy.

I think my mind connects the dots more efficiently when I am filled with joy- rather then in anguish.

So- I open this up to discussion- how do you manage your mood?

What are simply little things you do to mend your day?

Coping mechanisms?

Your take on ones attitude, to what extend does negative/positive vibs beget the same?

What task can a knucklehead do- that said nut had not thought of to make the day SHINE!?

Have you rediscovered a past pleasure that you have forgotten about?

What songs or vids come to mind to break one of the negativeness?

And finally-  reach out and HUG someone today!   Do a random act of kindness.  Call an old friend.

Your thoughts please  ?

I've always been moody, but generally happy. The hurricane fucked some of that up, and only time will tell if it's permanent or not. Just this morning, I was wondering what the hell life is about, has it been wasted, blah blah blah.

Laughter, prayer, fucking, cuddling, smiling, music, movies, being somewhere quiet outdoors, have some good effect on mood managment.

Every once in a very occasional while, my heart seems to land on the place where it's supposed to be, and it's peaceful, and the knots loosen up. Can't quite seem to find a way to stay there.

Good.

Say "hell next time bitch I'll park it on your face!!!" as heard in all good movies.

It is proven fact that if you are in a stressful situation such as someone shouting abuse at you it is harder to remember their face. This is evident in many victims being unable to describe an attacker.

I don't bother trying, if I was supposed to be happy all the time I'd be happy all the time.

I've not come across a broken day yet. The worst day of my life so far was the best opportunity to see how worse it could have been (nobody died thus a good result)

Coping mechanisms?

Don't believe in coping mechanism. I need stress to get things done, I work best under pressure.

Someone is stealing my milk I know what time they are doing it so I know what time to squirt the superglue all over the milk bottle.

Wear bright reflective clothes and paint your body in luminous ink, then hand out sun glasses to only the people you like you come into contact with.

Have you rediscovered a past pleasure that you have forgotten about?

I probably have but have since re-forgotten it.

'Have you ever been mellow [club mix]' by Tune Up. (A bit repetitive but good base for the dancing etc.)

And finally- reach out and HUG someone today! Do a random act of kindness. Call an old friend.

Can't do that, I'm English.

Your thoughts please ?

As above line by line. My good man

Things that often mend my day:

a hot shower
music (often of the cheezy 1970's variety)
cool,fresh air
reading a good book
re-watching a favorite movie
chocolate!!!!!!

And, most of all, just cuddling up in Master's arms and laying my head on his chest. That soothes all..............luci

Because I can't just leave the house or go when I want to, I have had to find other ways to balance myself when I start feeling closed in or harassed by life challenges. I have music and movies to fit just about anything I could be addressing in life or temperment. I have my chick empowerment flicks for when I am facing off to do battle with a hospital or something. I have my romantic chick flicks that have humor I need because I am not getting any... the drama's when life has been a lil heavy and I need to relate and see a sucessful end. I have my crash'em up, stolen or harassed, futuristic's, funny haha's, medical, dysfunctional and on and on. I think I have about five hundred movies now.

Music gets me going big time, but I have to be careful with that because I will want to dance and that isn't working so well without my medication to cover what I do to myself, but it is amazing in how it reaches the soul of me. I think I have over a hundred cd's on my computer and bought about a thousand songs from itunes this year.

So I am all about mood watching and listening these days! lol They are all my friends. lol

Words of wisdom I've been given, whenever my mood crashes:

* None of us were promised that life would be fair.

* None of us were promised happiness.

* None of us are owed compassion.

* None of us are owed a living.

* None of us are owed a decent childhood.

* None of us are owed an opportunity to make things better.

If life gives you shit, eat your shit-sandwich and SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT IT. No one likes a whiner.

Why so morose, Ialdabaoth? I don't think PAHunk said anyone was owed anything, he asked how ya get out of a funk. Eating a shit sandwich won't usually do it for me

We all face situations that are unpleasant , but I try to keep things in perspective.  Watch a clip from St Jude's hospital for children , although  words are somewhat difficult for me explain , its very moving and also inspiring
