The first pic he ever saw of me I had very short hair. I have crazy wild hair now, the perpetual "just laid" look. Lately he's been mentioning how much he likes that haircut I had. He'd never offer a preference either way. I enjoy the fact that is it finally down my back, so I think I'll keep it for awhile. Plus...nothing better than a good hair pulling during sex.

Most men that I talk to very much like my long hair as something to hold onto, reins, if you will (lol) during the heat of passion. I think they would probably prefer something else as "punishment" since I think it would hurt them as much as it would hurt me.[;)]

That sounds exactly like me. I wear my hair long because I like how it looks long and down. It makes me feel sexy. Sometimes I'll wear a headband, decorative clip or put my hair up with fancy-smanchy hairsticks but I am just as likely to use a colored pencil. Actually, often more likely because someone told me they thought it was sexy when I did that and that got stuck in my head somehow. Honestly, from what I have seen and experienced, shorter but still longish hair is much easier to work with than my long locks.

My partner has pretty specific preferences for my hair. Some of you guys know that when I met my partner he was a complete BDSM virgin. Interestingly enough, as he began experimenting with what it meant to have a relationship like this, my hair was the first thing that he made a rule about. (And no, my hair wasn't horrible before!) I am growing it out for him. He prefers it almost a foot longer than I do (I like it about chin length). Since I can't cut it, I like to color it from time to time, but I always check with him first and tell him what I'd like to do. He has veto power. I joke to my hairdresser that he spends more time looking at me than I do. But the reality is that every time I run my fingers through my hair or see my reflection in a mirror or window, I think of him. For some women, their hair is much a part of their image...their identity even. For me it's a little bit of a head trip to let him own that. I like it. That being said, I'm glad he doesn't want to shave my head or anything.

My partner absolutely adores long hair. I tease him on occasion about getting a nice little pixie cut or something, but his sad and sometimes scary no's quickly deters me from any further ribbing on the matter. I probably wouldn't cut it anyway. I wasn't allow to keep my long hair as a kid, so in total rebellion I just insist upon it now. This makes him happy of course. Any changes that I want to make to my hair have to go through him. I have wanted several changes that he has, in fact, denied me. I wanted to change the color and get it curled one time and he was none too thrilled by that idea. A few other things have gotten the flat disapproval as well. The one thing that always gets a positive response? Asking to get the ends trimmed so it will grow even longer. LOL As for style, I am more one for letting it flow free or be put up with very little in the way of extras. I tend to kids all day and keep house. Most of my days just aren't fancy ones. If the need is there and the situation is appropriate, I will fix up more and enjoy doing so. As for my time with my partner, he has a certain style he prefers and also likes fixing my hair that way himself. I just arrive for a visit with my hair clean, neatly brushed, and flowing free. He will take care of the rest. At least at this point, given our distance, it serves as a kind of marking off point where our time begins and the rest of the world ends. I am sure that will change over time when our circumstances do. Right now, though, it is the primary means of having me drop squarely into his hands right from the start. lovingpet

My darling tam, "hair punishment"? As in cutting her hair to punish her? Gasp! I'm a hair puller!!!!! Gasp! That would be like shooting myself in the foot! Gasp! That would be like handing tam my flogger! Gasp! That would be like making her not wear high heels! Hmmm...I actually only need a hand ful tam. So, I suppose it can be done. But a bit tricky...how much is a handful? One needs a large handful in the caged damsel in distress scene than when One is simply giving you light kisses on the neck at 3am in the morning. Best drop this train of thought right here... Arturas the Dom bastard.

I have tailbone length hair, and I wear it in a bun nearly constantly. Why? Because it is thick and straight, and when down....it slithers onto the keyboard and helps me type. It obligingly dunks itself in my dinner and gives me an end treatment of marinara sauce. It puts itself into the dishpan when I'm doing dishes. It wraps itself round my neck and tries to strangle me while I sleep. So I take it down pretty much only twice a day to brush it, and once a week to wash it, and when I want to torment someone with it or just enjoy having sex. (But I make a rule that when I get on the bottom, I have a satin pillowcase under my head. Otherwise my partner gets to comb out the resulting mat.) Another few inches, and I'll wear it in crown braids as a daily thing, instead of a bun. Probably I'll be there by the middle of winter. I like having long hair, and my husband likes me to have long hair, and I enjoy wearing it down at a play party and watching the glazed male submissive stares.

Alexandra, I've never heard of anyone else who has woken up choking, strangled by their own hair! Horrible feeling to be attacked by your own hair. At that point I cut off four inches. And I'm just about ready for the yearly four to six inches need to come off now.

okay i must confess i love hair tugging. but there are days when i want some short and sweet that doesn't take as much effort. mine is presently past the bottom of my shoulder blades. i don't think i'll let it reach the center of my back. if it were up to me i'd wear a killer short bob instead. but the rein pulling is fabu! porcelaine

We don't use the clippers as a form of punishment tool, our dynamic works without physical or emotional punishment. That said, Andy does use the clippers on me, them and a hearty pair of scissors beforehand, and he has deliberately not been too careful about keeping stray hair from creeping down my back and making me squirm. Hard to do, staying still throughout, but you manage it when someone else has the power to make you badly bald! If we did role play i am sure i could make a decent go of playing the poor soul parted from her hair for collaborating with the Germans in wartime France! Don't go a bundle on the thought of being tarred and feathered.
