Anyone here on Demonoid?

I used to use piratebay but its tracker has really slowed down. Can anyone invite me to demonoid?

My yahoo... [email protected]

Any other good torrent sites? invites?

mininova, h33t, btjunkie

thepiratebay is far from slow..I reach often above the 1Mb/s (megabyte). Downloads don't go though their trackers anymore

you can add a tracker by hand ; ( at least in utorrent / just copy and paste)

that will solve your problem .

ps. Downloading is legal in my country when it is for personal use. If it is not in yours....don't blame me :P

Yes I'm on demonoid but then I don't have any invites so *shrug* just google the torrents you need, works fine in my opinion. The site is locked for a reason heh..

...and as an attorney you should know it's illegal[8D]

true too[8D] i think in most parts its illegal..but the dude doesn't have his profiles active...scandal!!!

porcelaine -> RE: Demonoid torrents (9/28/2009 3:20:38 PM)

i'm there and the site is down right now anyway. so even if you had an invite you couldn't use it. many of the torrents are hosted elsewhere. a little legwork is all it takes

Thanks everyone for all the advice.

I tend to keep my profile private for business purposes No, I do not work for the Riaa. I am a big supporter of a free internet. Come on, I like to spank woman, I cant be all bad.

I still use piratebay, but some torrents on there only use the piratebay trackers and those seem to be down most of the time.

I use some of the other sites people mentioned but with the crack down on pirate bay, I figure it is only a matter of time until most public sites get shut down... so any advice on private sites would be great.

Of course I never down load anything illegal, that would just be wrong.

As for computer safety, I use ubuntu and ktorrent for downloads. Ubuntu seems much safer for all internet activities and very easy to use. Anyone who hasnt tried linux, you should give ubuntu a shot. It is very easy to use, and it works great with firefox for the internet.. Ktorrent is a great and hassle free torrent client.

Side note, for a really great multimedia program, try Sagetv it is a mediacenter like program for recording tv via computer but without DRM limitations. It organizes all your tv shows, music, ripped cds and dvds and bluray and lets you play them on any computer or tv in your home, and lets you stream it across the internet from your home to any computer... and yes, it will play any Downloaded torrent on your plasma as well.

an other option is to use a search engine for torrents called Bit Che
http://convivea.com/product.php?id=2
It is freeware and works great. Stuff I can't find on popular torrentwensites I find with this.
Good source for new scene releases ...
