I'm also somewhat in agreement with the OP. I don't know what it's like in Thailand but right at the beginning when I first opened my first account and profile on this site I was based in Eastern Europe both in Poland and for some time in the Ukraine and it was next to impossible to get anywhere with anyone.

Not that it's much better here in the UK. I've actually formed a theory that this is a site used by idiots to contact other idiots to engage in and develop stupidity even further. Does it make a difference that this is a BDSM or kink site? Why should it? These people don't read profiles, so why would they read anything else written on this site? What probably attracts them are the photos and the fact that they can do something with this site, upload their own pictures and write whatever in their profile and it gives them numerous opportunities to seek out and find other idiots and loonies and engage in various forms of stupidity and lunacy with them.

I'm sure we've all encountered these idiots and loonies at some point. 'Hi how u r?' (I would be more communicative if I could understand all those words you wrote in your profile) 'You yahoo?' (I'm looking for a mindreader and the second photo in your profile suggests strongly that you are telepathic with mentally challenged people like me), etc etc. 'I would luv 2 meet u' (Only I'm 5,000 miles away and have just drank three bottles of red wine and thought I was online banking until I came across your profile).

It seems that the challenge here is two-fold, firstly to carefully construct your profile in a way so as not to be mistaken by the intelligent, sane and reasonable for an idiot, and secondly to carefully construct your profile in a way so as not to attract the idiots but those who are intelligent, reasonable or sane.

The only thing I can say for sure is that it's best to be realistic and just assume that irrespective of what gender, sexual orientation and flavour of dynamic you are that who you are hoping to find and looking to meet is most probably only in a very small minority of those found on this website.

How do you go about this? Well up until a couple of days ago I thought I had it sussed pretty well, but then I got a long e-mail with the unsolicited autobiography of a male submissive which didn't interest me, but seeing the amount of effort he put into his message felt it warranted a reply from me, and so I sent off a brief response letting him down as gently as I could and signed off with a 'cheerio'. Sorted?

Not really, as a while later I receive another message addressing me as 'Mistress Cheerio' begging me to reconsider. At this point I give up, I really do, and somehow feel that nothing what I could ever write here is going to help or influence the sort of response the OP gets.

All that's left for me is to express my support and sympathy and perhaps remember you in my prayers.
