I'm still partial to Bohemian Rhapsody, but that's because I've managed to keep it from being overplayed in my life.  :)

"Your Brains" by Jonathan Coulton is also pretty amazing as well.  :D

Bohemian Rhapsody is a great call. I place Do You Feel by Peter Frampton up for consideration.

So many possibilities, but here's a couple off the beaten path:
Gentle Giant, "School Days"
Renaissance, "A Trip to the Fair"

For a harder edge:
Gentle Giant, "Pantagruel's Nativity"
Renaissance, "The Vultures Fly High"

I don't know about greatest of all time, but one I would put up as favourite of all time is by an obscure British band called "A Show of Hands". The song is High Germany/The Molly Oxford, with a guest appearance by Kate Rusby.

Here's a Youtube of it,though the clip cuts out a haunting vioilin bit at the end of the song

I listen to some Bach and Mozart today wondering if there music would move Me any. i did I was surprised but I can't still say what is the greatest song. I know there is a line in a Heart song that makes Me smile every time I hear it. " The sweetest sound is silence that I ever heard." I think the tile titled of the song is Sweet Dreams by Heart.

bohemian rhapsody, stairway to heaven, whiter shade of pale all very good songs. I love them all but personally I think this song has to be right up there with those I just mentioned:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzgGTTtR0kc

Seen them live in concert 3 times so far, their new album 'Death Magnetic' is absolutely awesome!!

No, I think that the "Greatest" would be "If I Were a Deep One"
