Hi Faded!  I've been missing you.  Your new profile pic just makes me want to eat you up!

Andalusite -> RE: Cabbage patch submissive’s… (9/14/2009 8:14:40 AM)

I've dated some people who were brand new to BDSM (either had fantasised about it before, but hadn't had a chance to try it, or open-minded vanillas). Personally, I strongly prefer newbies who are very honest about their lack of real-world experience and who are openminded about trying different things, instead of having a richly detailed fantasy life with no room for interaction with *my* needs and desires! Of course, when I was looking, I wanted someone who was mature and already had a life in general, had good enough social skills to meet my friends (and have friends for *me* to hang out with occasionally), and who was intelligent and interesting to talk with. Having no idea what they wanted in terms of being a bottom, a submissive, or a switch (to stick with the relevant orientations here), what kinks they would enjoy, if they could enjoy service on a D/s level rather than only wanting to make me happy by doing things for me, seemed perfectly reasonable. Going off to visit a pro-Domme and demanding that kind of experience for free, on the other hand, made them far less desirable.

Lockit -> RE: Cabbage patch submissive’s… (9/14/2009 11:27:18 AM)

How sweet some of you are for offering spankings and chicken soup for my ailments! lol I just can't keep up and maybe shouldn't have started something I couldn't hang with! lol Now the kid is sick... and a pipe broke and I had a flood, now no water and with H1N1 whoa... so... I'm not sure how much I can be around to laugh with you all and add to this. I was hoping to bring in some serious comments from what other's have said and such... but until I get some things in order around here... I don't think that is going to happen.

You all are the best! I mean... who else would make me laugh with my broken ribs here and offer soup at the same time and then of course take advantage of my vulnerability and offer spankings... loving!... lol I love you all!

Hey, at least I add variety.

Added bonus we can smell you coming.

I'll add an opinion.  I think femdoms are, by and large, attracted to capability.  Everyone has to be good at something, confident at something. If you are submissive and shy, or socially kind of inexperienced, or don't like talking about yourself, a hurdle to overcome is making sure you can talk about your strengths in a non-bragging way.  Whether you do MMA as a hobby, play the piano, are really good at board games, whatever.  If you exude confidence and are good at something, it's an attractive quality.

Thankyou for clarifying that, Lockit and lovingpet.  I think I now have a better picture of what was meant by "cabbage patch submissives".  For one thing, it sounds like they have a serious deficiency in basic common sense.  Anyway, at least now I know I am not a cabbage.  Perhaps a chicken, but not a cabbage [;)]

Having been exchanging mentoring emails with this young man for a good while now I can confirm he is definitely NOT a cabbage! And right now I'm feeling like a proud Momma cat because My lil cub is braving posting here, so y'all be nice to him OK? [;)]

Edited to add - hope you're feeling better Lockit!

Lockit -> RE: Cabbage patch submissive’s… (9/23/2009 5:56:24 PM)

LOL MaamJay! We be nice! Well...okay... sometimes we be nice!

Isn't it refreshing when you meet someone who isn't a cabbage? They are out there! In Elastic's post, you could tell there wasn't anything but someone who needed a bit of a pep talk on that and maybe just clarification of what we really meant. Actually sounds like a very wonderful person! I'm glad you both are benefiting from your communications!

As for feeling better...lol... yeah! Um... don't get that flu... I am still not right, but stronger today so I may be on the mend! Thank you!

AlexandraLynch -> RE: Cabbage patch submissive’s… (9/23/2009 7:17:53 PM)

Oh, feet add a lot. You just take them out before you serve it.

Feet add gelatin to the soup. That's what makes it all thick and solid and yummy instead of brothy and liquid.

I need to make chicken soup again soon.

Elastic -> RE: Cabbage patch submissive’s… (9/24/2009 5:25:57 AM)

My ears sure have been burning today!  Thanks for your kind words MaamJay and Lockit.  I'm feeling a little embarrassed, but in a good way.[:)]

It's good to hear you're on the mend Lockit.

SweetDommes -> RE: Cabbage patch submissive’s… (9/24/2009 7:29:26 AM)

Sorry, no. I know exactly where those feet have been, and mostly it's covered in poo. Ew LOL To thicken it, you use corn starch.

Eivarden -> RE: Cabbage patch submissive’s… (9/26/2009 11:42:50 AM)

Well apparently putting the effort to come here and ask questions is just unacceptable. (a site made for this) Because we all know how common D/s relationships with Dommes are, they should already have been in one, or seen one. Not to mention how Male Dom ran relationships, are just soooo similar, all the Male Dom relationships should have been able to teach them.

*Sarcasm off*

Lockit -> RE: Cabbage patch submissive’s… (9/26/2009 11:51:37 AM)

Whoa...lol Being someone who can fully appreciate sarcasm... I really think what I like about it is the truth within and the funny haha about it. Your sarcasm comes from anger. So... Maybe you need a time out to think about this. I don't know.

First of all... any question that comes from a place that isn't manipulative is typically a good question... but adult's who don't have some clue in life is what I consider a cabbage patch. They have no clue about social enteractions, how to conduct themselves vanilla or bdsm and not just bdsm or d/s. They have learned little in their time of life and the clueless act (or reality) is a bit hard to bare when they expect that clueless act to get them somewhere.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Cabbage patch submissive’s… (9/26/2009 2:33:02 PM)

Cornstarch in SOUP??  Those feets are really thoroughly washed before you add them, anyway.  My uncle used to eat them, he'd always offer to share them with me.  [:)]

SweetDommes -> RE: Cabbage patch submissive’s… (9/27/2009 3:43:25 AM)

Well, I would normally say flour - but Holly is allergic to wheat and gluten, so ... yeah lol
