Another guide from the same site as the 1970s ads except these are much funnier:

"Creepy Jam Girl" could give me nightmares but the coffee ad is pretty hot, actually[;)]

Using Lysol for douching, however, sounds more like a wacky punishment thread you'd read around here

Enjoy!

Much of the visuals, especially of the children, appear to have been heavily influenced by Norman Rockwell's Saturday Evening Post prints. Unfortunately carried out by a less than deft graphic artist.

Yes and one who thinks children should look like the scary monsters in my nightmares. Yikes! I hope to never see kids that creepy up close[8D]

I wasn't creeped out by the kids, but kind of assumed that they were being raised by parents who fed them nothing but mac&cheese and Spam between paydays.

I was more creeped out by the thinking of whoever thought it was acceptable to show an image of a baby holding a razor. Now that IS creepy.

Jumpin' jesus! Woe be unto the parent who  tells one of those hideous, ghoulish little hellspawns they can't have any ice cream until the lima beans are finished. They look as though at any given moment they're just seconds away from pouncing on the nearest adult and ripping their throat out with their teeth.

And what's with that fucking pig sawing itself in half with a carving knife? Yeesh!

I was particularly  awed at the soap add, how in the hell is showing a bath tub turned over on an apparently bloody child, a good advertisement for your product.

Using fast reply... Those were a trip!!!  I collect old magazines from the 30's through 60's.  Here are three winners from my personal collection: http://www.moonspheres.com/oldads/ hehehehe

I have always had a phobia of the 50's.

I now need a new word for "worse than a phobia"

Along with eliminating "unpleasant" odor with Lysol (and no poison label needed!), I like the fact that it returns a woman to "daintyness".

Perhaps a thread hijack, sorry if so, but just for my curiosity sake, have any women here ever used the term "dainty" when referring to the state of their hygiene down under?

Has anyone ever come home and said, "You're smelling quite dainty my dear."?

And honestly, who the hell serves spaghetti AND hot dogs at the same time?  Is it that family's answer to the other family's fish sticks with mac and cheese?

While I ponder all of this, I'm gonna go froil up a chicken.

Nope, can't say I've ever used "dainty" or had it used toward (against) me[:D]

Thanks, ally, for those great ones. "Is your rancid cooch keeping your husband at bay? It's all your fault now go pour in some Lysol!" Wow, baby, we've come along way (or have we???)[:)].............luci

How would you 'smell' dainty? Would it be like the difference in a faint waft of krill, rather than a bloated sunscorched bullhead washed up on shore wending its way into your nostrils?
