Sunnyfey -> RE: Kitty people! Graphic video.. (9/11/2009 11:37:24 PM)

that poor baby!

GreedyTop -> RE: Kitty people! Graphic video.. (9/11/2009 11:38:17 PM)

no kidding.. whoever did it needs to be strung up by their toes and used as a target for poison tipped arrows....

PyrotheClown -> RE: Kitty people! Graphic video.. (9/12/2009 3:00:17 AM)

Yeah, saw this a few days ago, sadly not the worst I've seen(on the net or in real life).

CarrieO -> RE: Kitty people! Graphic video.. (9/12/2009 3:09:29 AM)

It hurts to see things like that but, like Pyro said, sadly not the worst I've seen online or RL.
I imagine the person who would do such a thing being followed day and night by every cat in the neighborhood...they will get their revenge, in time.

sirsholly -> RE: Kitty people! Graphic video.. (9/12/2009 3:25:21 AM)

yanno...they will pay for it in the end...

Aileen1968 -> RE: Kitty people! Graphic video.. (9/12/2009 6:23:38 AM)

Oh c'mon.... it's just a Halloween costume.

scarlethiney -> RE: Kitty people! Graphic video.. (9/12/2009 6:23:41 AM)

Aw............poor baby.  I am so happy to see kitty survived.   The person who did it is more than likely a future serial killer.

[>:]  They'd pay for it NOW, at MY hands if I find them first. That cat looks a LOT like Punky, except for the white. Punky is all orange, except for the white tip of his tail.

And please - if anyone gets upset about the outrage shown for an injured animal, understand that I'd feel the same to any hurt or abused human OR animal. There is NO justification for something like this. This is downright sick and mean. I'm sorry that they're only offering a $500 reward - I hope local community people chip in and make it more. It's been said that money talks.....

I hope they do to. Then we could find out the whole story behind it. I find it interesting that people are so quick to assume the worst. Now certainly if someone did this to an animal on purpose, I would be one of the first in line to by the tar and feathers, but from the video you showed, they have NO clue what happened to the cat. It's possible, although not probible that the person who shot the arrow had no clue that he hit anything.  It is also possible that the cat ran in front of the arrow and then took off and the shooter could not catch it. Now in either case, the shooter would have been totally irresponsible and should not be allowed to play with his arrows, but I am not sure I would clasify him as a serial killer just on that. Seems a tad extreme to me. Now if everyone is right and he did shoot the cat on purpose, then all bets are off and I hope he gets put in a cell with a real live, my cat's are better than people kinda guy.

No no no, GT - no poison.  It would kill them FAR to quickly, and reduce the amout of suffering inflicted.

I'm thinking..... string them up as a target for a compitition shoot - say a Newcomer's Shoot - where the people who have Just learned to actually hit the target at all are doing the shooting.  Which of course would guarentee a lot of missed shots, yes - but that would work well to increase the SOB's terror level - and would also guarentee a lot of shots that hit, but none in critical areas that would kill quickly and cleanly.

No, it's not the worst I've seen - but that doesn't lessen the amount of sheer Rage seeing such a thing induces in me every single time.  The responcible party should be thanking whatever diety they worship that the way our justice system works dictates that they Won't be handed over to animal lovers to mete out their punishment.....

VampiresLair -> RE: Kitty people! Graphic video.. (9/12/2009 8:01:52 AM)

With a placement like that, there is the possibility that it was an accident , also. Not saying that the person shouldnt be taken out and beaten for not trying to fix it after it happened, but I really dont know if someone could have deliberatly made that shot at an angle like that with a bow and arrow. Fox's family has a dog that was a hunting dog for years, but that got shot out doing her hunting dog retrieving thing. Purley accidental, but no one helped her either, since the one who shot her didnt even know she was out there in the rough. She came home days later, and had to have her leg amputated.

I think the point was that most were assuming this was intentional. "If" this was intentional then certainly that kind of behavior is more than disturbing and I feel sure would be considered extremely anti-social. Holly has more knowledge about those types of behaviors.
Of course it is possible it was an accident and the person or young adult was scared to admit they did it.

There was actually a kitty serial killer in florida I read on the news a couple months back.
he would torture and kill peoples pet cats.  went after ones that where pets even broke into some houses and left the mutilated remains for the owners to find :(  was really sick stuff.   There is a very thin line between torturing animals and humans and very few that do one have a problem with the other.   fortunetly they caught the guy that was responsible.    IMO they should charge him with terrorisim as he terrorised the community I see very little difference but the penility changes from a fine and a cpl months in prison to several years in prison.     Anything that creates terror on large scale so all serial kills should be charged with it IMO
I'm glad that kitty survived I didn't watch the video I am to sensitive to witness stuff like that especially on helpless animals.   I'd have it in my head for months.

Irishknight -> RE: Kitty people! Graphic video.. (9/12/2009 10:08:19 AM)

I feel bad for the cat. Having seen animals run onto an active archery range and onto active firearms ranges, I can see how this can happen purely by accident. If that is not the case, the one responsible needs to be punished to the fullest extent of the law. He needs to room with a large convict who will turn him into his bitch for the full length of his term.

Yes, I think they were also, that is the point I was trying to make.
