I can understand why some people would be upset over THIS, for any number of reasons - but I just think it's hilarious.

Where's the SCAT that Hitler was known for?

That ad itself isn't revolting nor offensive to me. AIDS needs to have a face that we can have a conparison to. What face or historical character would best represent the intent and distruction of HIV/AIDS?

For the most part, I'm glad that the Ad is allowed to air. I hope the point gets accross that AIDS is deadly enough to exterminate humanity.

Hitler was in great shape. Lived the clean life and all that. This was pointed out in an internet pass around comparing him to Churchill, who did not live a clean life.

Incedentally, I could not see the video, what do you have to do to see it ?

I've seen the Hitler versus Churchill thing on the internet too. It's usually presented as which candidate would you vote for?:

Candidate one: a known womanizer who smokes, is a heavy drinker and who used opium in college.

Candidate two: a vegitarian who doesn't smoke, rarely drinks, has had no extramarital affairs and is a decorated war vetren.

Candidate one is Curchill and candidate two is Hitler.

Snopes has an article on it.

I'm more offended that the american anti aids campain is soooo lame

"no lol in aids"

almost makes me want to get a super soaker filled with aids infected blood and spray it all over a grade school.......I dunno why, I'm just try'n to say it's a really bad campain(the american, not this hitler/aids one)

I liked it. It really drove home the point (no pun intended) that AIDS is a mass-murderer. Who's more famous for being a mass-murderer (esp. in Germany) than the Fuhrer himself? Good one. Thanks, Marc...............luci

Who are upset over it and why? I don't find it hilarious, we Europeans have a very different sense of humor than most Americans. To me it is more hilarious that the girl is astounded this is shown on tv when we had Deep Throat on tv and television productions even show more. It would have had more impact if they would have chosen Bush, Obama or Jesus who is the greatest mass murderer.
