ORIGINAL: VampiresLair Fox and I have a weakness for entertainment. Our fix is a used book store here not far from where we are that deals in trade as well as cash. We have not and I wont allow us to pay full price for books, games or movies unless it is a brand new release and it is a holiday or some special occasion. Same here - books, DVDs and CDs are all I'm ever tempted to buy. Since I began working at the library here, I refuse to pay full price for books. I go to the bookstores, make a list of what I'm seeing that I'd like to read, and then go see if the library has them. If not, I request they buy them and they always do. I occasionally still purchase a few but they're either in the bargain section or I buy them used at places like you mentioned or Amazon.com. Yes, you have to pay $2 or $3 shipping but sometimes the item itself only costs a few cents or a buck! It's so worth it. As far as movies, Redbox rents 'em for $1 + tax per night. Unless you really have to own one, that's the place to go. Even having to own it, wait a bit and get it used on Amazon. Again, way cheaper and I've never had one that wasn't in great condition. luci
