Thanks to everyone for the many suggestions - We're trying to stick with handcuffs because the aesthetic appeal is what we like about metal on skin...so although zipties work we prefer the ratchet of cuffs etc. - Thanks a ton Wulf - I'm going to have to check out those Smith and Wessons - they might just work...she has tiny wrists but is only JUST able to squeeze out of the cuffs we currently have...so a 25% increase should do her in just fine ;)

I can get out of standard issue law enforcement type cuffs.  You need rope, or velcro.  I find I can get out of rope easily enough unless my fingers are also tied.

((grins)) oh a fellow escape artist :D I have also found I am able to escape many many types of bindings.

They are called juvenile handcuffs, I think american handcuff makes them.

True... there is juvenile prison, juvenile court, juvenile criminal code etc... so no doubt that there is police-grade handcuffs made for juveniles.

That's what the AH JN-105 was...but when all of the municipalities and legal systems got the cuffs they needed, and that was a very small number, there was no more demand.  Most violent teen offenders fit in standard cuffs, and legal systems as well as media and parents frown upon the handcuffing of preteen offenders, no matter how violent.

Wulf seems to know a lot about the juvenile cuffs...do you have any for sale ;)

Unfortunately, I do not.  I had a sub once who was very small, like 80lb soaking wet kinda small, as well as a cuff buddy in Cali who is about maybe 90 lb.  And hence the research into those.  It was more a continuation to my ongoing self education into handcuffs.  As you can tell, they (handcuffs, legirons and waistchains) are kinda my forte.  But I would reccomend the S&W Model 1 that I linked to earlier.  And whilst at it, might I also reccomend spare keys (at least 2, as NIJ cuffs are supplied with 2)  as well as a pair of leg irons.  Just wouldn't be right if you didn't have the set.  Just a reminder, leg irons don't need to be tight to be secure.

The American Handcuff JN-105 sometimes comes up on eBay, so check there a couple times a week.  You might get lucky.

I'd side with the more creative posters here...give up on straight-up handcuffs and try something else. I can dislocate pretty much whatever I want, and my hands fold up to almost an inch smaller than my wrist...the only thing I've found that I can't get out of (short of the taped-fists suggestion, that sounds promising) is a rope wrap behind the back, fingers and thumbs, all the way up to the elbows. Am I a pain in the ass, or what?
