If someone cmails me and i find their opening interesting, i may give them my alt email in my first reply as i work 12 hour shifts and can't access this site there. If they sound like someone i might want to know more about, it's way faster for me to be able to communicate from work as i'm gone from home 15 hours a day so often don't even get online when unless i have a few days in a row off.
