From the original Beauty and the Beast: Beast: "There is no master here, except for you." I've always seen B&B as a femmedom fable, about the magical power women have to tame and control males. But, that's just my take. When dealing with fairy tales, you can see pretty much whatever you like in them. It all depends on how you tell them. Little Red Riding Hood is one of those that is deeply saturated in sexual themes. Check out the movie "In the Company of Wolves" to see what I mean. As I recall, one early issue of Skin II was focused on this one fairy tale, deconstructing it's S&M subtexts until the poor little story fairly screamed for mercy. The Princess and the Frog also has some nice themes, about how you have to look past the surface to see the person that exists behind the homely exterior. (But then, I would feel that way, since I'm hardly Johnny Depp, even in a dark back alley.) LOL
