ORIGINAL: flcouple2009 Your kidding, you didn't actually check the link. There were 10 or 12 right of the top on the Today's Jobs that didn't require anything. Rat Race has been written up in several places for being the place to find real actual work at home jobs. I would have trouble finding anything on there that required a fee or kit purchase, with the exception of a few of the craft jobs. We know a lot of people who work from home, and yes we all make the rent. Not just the rent but the lights, phone, etc... Sales jobs always pay more than straight customer service. What skills do you have there are several places looking for computer help desk workers. Those generally pay more as well. The Amazon ting is not a job, it's something you do if you have a few extra moments. I could have been looking at one of the other links, I won't deny that. I just quickly bookmarked all of them to look at later. My background actually is in the legal field. I did telemarketing when I was in Florida and I really, really am not cut out for that kind of stuff. I'm going to look at the site again. With my injury, I need flexibility as well as not having to sit in rush hour traffic (more than 20 minutes in the car and I'm in serious pain). Please don't think I made the comment about whether or not you made the rent flippantly. I really didn't mean it in that way. quote:
ORIGINAL: Louve00 I work from home, too. I work two jobs from home. One is full time (38-40hrs wkly). I get pd by the hr for the full time job. Its M-F, you can opt into a 401K and/or an insurance plan. There was no start up kit or fees, but they did pay me to train with them. It's customer service. I'm not selling a thing. There are no quota's to make, no set amount of hours (other than at least 20 hrs and no more than 40 hours a week). I make my own schedule. My weekend job is not telemarketting, but its sales. I take orders for infomercials and on a good weekend (with incentives), I can make (almost) as much as I can make during the week. Its also a pretty cool job. People are...odd. lol However, I'm pd. per minute of talk time on the weekend job, with no benefits and I'm self contracted. So, I'm not considered an employee and I'm responsible for paying my own taxes too. So the weekend job depends on call volume and how much the public is spending. And doesn't guarantee I'll make anything. The weekday job pays less, but I'm paid hourly and I am guaranteed work, with benefits. But those aren't the only two work at home jobs I've ever done. I've worked many, many legitimate work at home jobs. My husbands on disability, so he doesn't work. My jobs, with his disability pay the bills, my daughter (and 15 yr olds are expensive), we own our own home, 2 cars. It's real work. But it is work. Working at home isn't a get rich quick scheme, so expect to....work. This is where I've gotten most of the jobs I've worked for, but the rat race rebellion site that flacouple gave you has alot of the same jobs on this link, too. http://workathomedesk.com/work-at-home-directory.htm Honestly, Louve00, I'm not looking to get rich, lol. I would just like to be able to make enough money to make ends meet and possibly buy a new pair of shoes now and then! The taking calls for the informercials sounds kind of fun, because yes, some people are odd enough to be really amusing. Right now this weekend's tasks are a toss up. Look at all these sites and try to find some work from home opportunities that are a good fit for me...or clean the house. Cleaning the house really isn't looking too promising, lol.
