Esinn -> The Vibe (8/24/2009 12:27:46 PM)

(Hey this is me thinking out loud.  Last time I did that people got a little bent out of shape).
So, my new default picture - you like it?

I playfully shook my tired fist at my daughter after she said something uhh childish.  Obviously I was hot, sweaty, tired, dizzy, in pain, sun burnt and wanted to go the hell home.  Equally obvious we were at Turkey Run National Park in Indiana.  Oh, it was bad ass!  After 6 hours of hiking despite the fact we were both tired as hell I outlasted her by a long shot(such a child she is[:-]).

It is interesting when I make posts here, pending what I am posting or responding to this generates interest on the other side of CM (sometimes) - it is neat to track.  My posting volume has recently been down, sorry.  The words on my profile remained the same but this picture(which I thought was "fun") was added and hits went up.  If it is in my head or not, it is not qualities of the pic were brought up, my question is still good.

I do not think I am mean(until it comes to idiots) nor do I view me as a bad ass - as 1 responded.  I am a nerd - I am into science, philosophy, art, warcraft, photography, cosmology and religion  Given the choice I would go home and read instead of fighting.  When I did mixed martial arts I was the training dummy a lot of the time  The pic is me though, burnt, hot, tuckered & jokingly annoyed.

We have talked muscles and the reasons we like when they act like this or that.   But how important is it your partner give the 'vibe'/look/feel of their role on a constant basis and Why?  I am thinking out of scene(OOS).  I know it is rehash but anyone inclined to answer.  I will post a reply to myself too.  It is not something I have thought of in this way.  So...  I am not sure 100% how I would answer.  A vibe is something different than judging a book by its cover but in some way still connected.

I on occasion enjoy a SAM.  However, I absolutely love and am quickly attracted to the look, feel, appeal & vibe of a sub/slave.  Fantasy/invented or not - I have radar for that shit.  It is important to me that she follow through with this when with me and even on her own - I like it.  I will think about why this is and get back with you.  I know I would not really enjoy topping a 'manly' woman or such a vibe thrower.  I get no thrill out of topping one who is physically stronger or better looking.  I like the challenge of the intellectual - but that is to digress.

I just feel maybe that post would have been better in your journal?

Listen cupcake. . .  You can put me on ignore if you want.  There was a very non-ambiguous and direct question at the end which is relevant to the forum.

LillyoftheVally -> RE: The Vibe (8/24/2009 12:41:41 PM)

Oh sorry, I missed it, what was the question?

(I feel the patronising tone a little unneeded, it was my observation of your self defined musing)

If he didn't have that vibe 24/7 I wouldn't be with him. It's not role playing for us. It's who we both are. It's ingrained in our personalities and it's a huge part of how we interact whether it's at a bar having dinner or in bed.

This question is a bit confusing to me. In general, Carol is just Carol. She gives off "carol vibes" all the time.. even when she's sound asleep. For the most part, that seems to be adequate for me. I know Carol is mine because I tell her to do shit all the time and she obeys me. Except in rare instances, I don't need any "vibe" preferring to look at facts. I'm not really sure if that answered your question though.

It's important to me that he remains the *him* he is. If that's a vibe/look/feel...then yes, it's important.

If you mean *How important is it that he gives off the * I'm in charge* vibe? Well, the answer is *VERY important* ..because he's always HAD it.

DesFIP -> RE: The Vibe (8/24/2009 3:57:09 PM)

Right now he's researching roofing sealants. If I wandered in and refilled his water glass he sure isn't going to stop what he's doing to send that energy my way. Nor does he need to do it with the computer, well he may need to but it won't work. He still has to slog through all the google sites.

Low level, it's always there. But actually part of my responsibility is to act in such a way that he doesn't have to ratchet into high gear, spending more energy that could go towards other things. It doesn't have to always be on display, he does have to have it available if he needs it.
