Pittsburgh Seeks 4,000 Extra Police Officers to Help With the Group of 20 Meeting By SEAN D. They only have 900 officers? I think Boston has about 1,600. Simlar size I assume.

Pittsburgh is maybe 4.5 hours from here- Philly 3.5 hours. I am thinking the protests are going to be pretty big. The city wont make money on this. Who knows- it could be Seattle.

Municipalities are always worried about liability and crowd control in these types of situations and frequently respond with overkill. We have had the same type of problem here with Mardi Gras celebrations in the past.

One thing is for sure. There will be no republicans on the streets causing trouble. It will be democrats and wacked out environmentalists. It will make the town hall meetings look like kinder garten..
