MissJanice2 -> Birthday dramas! (8/13/2009 10:23:29 AM)

Ever since I can remember, I kind of go beserk on my birthday.  Today is no exception.  I don't know why, but I physically get sick to the point to where I cannot be out in public, nor get involved in many conversations via internet or telephone.
Today, I decided to settle it with alcohol.
Do any of you experience extreme anxiety and depression at your birthday?
I would like to know. I must be crazier than I really am?

Best Wishes,

Mistress_Jan

I doubt you are crazy even though I love love LOVE my birthday!!

To the point where I firmly believe it should be a national holiday, paid time off, double time pay, lots of presents, a day when all of the yummy stuff I eat magically has zero calories......well you get the picture.

Hmmmmmm, maybe I am the crazy one?!?![:D]

I always used to hate my birthday.

I always felt I was the only one it was important to. So I would get upset at the failed unrealistic expectations of other people.

Then I met andi and she tries very hard to always make that day special.

Last Year we all converged in Vegas and made a bunch of new friends this year it will be pool side at Mercnbeths place.

All in all I discovered that my Birthday was an issue I created in my head and I decided I get to decide if it is good or bad regardless of who trys to make it special or not.

Some years, my birthday is a national holiday, and I have no trouble believing all the fuss is for me.

I've never been a bday fan but I don't create no drama about it..to me it's just yet another day.

My birthdays are just another day like any other day so no I don't freak out or become depressed. Sometimes I even forget it's my bday.

Do you know why you get depressed? What is the fear? Past bday trauma?

It seems like it's causing problems in your life even if it is only one day a year but still something you might wanna talk to a professional about imo.

No big pschyo scenerios going on here.  I just get physically iritated and sick when it comes to my birthday.  My family has been birthday tramatized from the beginning, and I suppose it originated there.

My 25th birthday was a bit of a 'I'm so old' downer for me but they have not bothered me since. I'll be 50 next year and couldn't care less.

it depends, if I'm outa town, my birthdays have always been aewsome, but If I get trapped out here, then the most unlucky of events happen.....it's like a curse or something

That is it.  Next year, I am going out of town.
