I just had a sip of the best coffee ever! I don't know what kind, but it's smokey and strong, with none of that fruity/nutty aftertaste! Just smooth and dark.

So it got me wondering, how do you like your coffee/tea/hot drink of choice?

I usually go for something like a French Roast, black.

Mmmm.... I think I am going to go make some now!

I put about 1/2 a cup of coffee (I'm digging Folgers Black Silk now), a splash of vanilla (real vanilla, not imitation!) and a 1/2 cup of Splenda in the french press....  Pour boiling water over it, let it sit for about 10 minutes.

Pour into a large coffee cup, 1/2 milk 1/2 coffee.

If you can't finish the whole pot, it's great because you can put it in the fridge and have a cold coffee when you get home.  Even cold, I still do 1/2 milk 1/2 coffee.

Sometimes, if I'm feeling exotic, I'll put in cocoa powder instead of vanilla.

Yum!!

I am a tea drinker. I rarely indulge in caffiene so 99% of what I drink is herbal or a herbal supplement. Currently I am enjoying two teas from Celestial Seasonings: AM Detox (it needs honey) and Tangerine Zinger (makes a great sun tea).

I admit to being hooked on the ginger tea by Yogi.

If it's tea i like taking rooibos and powdered peppermint leaf, tossing them in a glass with a fresh, sweet cinnamon stick and than pour hot water over it.  Let that steep for three minutes and ZOMG<3.

If it's hot carob though, i like it with vanilla ricemilk, cinnamon and cumin.  *drool*

Was it Kopi Luwak?

Is that the stuff made from the droppings of some exotic jungle animal and costs about $100 a cup?

FR, after read thru

Mmmmmmmm, tea, mmmmmmmmmmmm, coffee . . ... . .

As a caffeine addict, I have to have some baseline caffeine intake or I get a wicked nasty withdrawal headache.

I like most all forms of black / green / white tea . . . . . I like tea plain. & tea that's cooled down tastes just fine, whereas with coffee I only like it 'piping hot' or 'ice cold' . . . . . .

My favorite tea these days is fresh ginger tea. Just chop or shred a coupla 'fingers' of fresh ginger & put into water that's almost come to a boil, simmer for a little while. (It can be boiled, which gives the flavor a hint of caramel-ish tones, but I like it better simmered delicately . . . .) It's way spicy, so beware; I like it strong . ... .

I also like peppermint tea a lot. (Ginger & peppermint teas do not contain caffeine, FYI . . . . . )

& coffee . . . . . . . I love coffee. With cream & no sugar, or just a pinch of raw sugar or a drop or two of molasses . . . . . I generally drink a mix of French roast & house or Columbian . .. . . I like to get beans & grind it myself as I make the coffee, & I mostly have just made it by the cup & I like it strong. My coffee has been compared (favorably, I think) with defibrillator pads, lol . . . . .

I love a rich, strong Kenyan...and for coffee I like Columbian! *LOL*

But seriously, I gave up coffee for a while, just now getting back into it, but it has to be Columbian and I like hazelnut or just regular cream in it, with a bit of raw sugar.

I don't believe I would ever try Kopi Luwak

Mm, I like the raspberry Yogi tea. The first time I tried the ginger I spit it out! I had no idea it was going to be spicy!

Sorry, come again?

No I'm kidding. But it wasn't Kopi Luwak. Don't think I can get that here. Have you tried it?

I prefer Irish Breakfast tea with honey if it's hot, w/splenda if it's iced, and it's great iced!  Not the same taste as English Breakfast, it's milder.....I love the smells of coffee, never developed a taste for it tho.....it's bitter to me. But I do like my tea strong...I usually leave the tea bags in it while I drink it, or if it's iced in the pitcher.

For coffee for me it ideally to be from the arabica bean and smell like quality milk chocolate.

That saying I drink supermarket coffee - the cheapest budget brand but only from Sainsbury's (where it is really Tchibo) and Tesco's (it's actually Maxwell House) to avoid drinking the gunky stuff like Nescafe. But I usually have arabica coffee in a tin bought from a little Turkish shop on the other side of London.

I drink coffee black, unsweetened, and either americanos or in little espresso cups.

I drink tea which can be quality black tea, loose leaf green tea or rooibos, usually black, unsweetened, but sometimes I will add fruit such as mango, lemon, or raspberry.

I also drink yerba from Paraguay or Argentina instead of tea or coffee. The good thing about yerba is that unlike tea you can make a pot of it and leave it knowing that it doesn't lose its flavour or become bitter like tea.

Nah in truth I'd say it's not top of my list of must have experiences before I die.

I work in a Turkish restaurant, but I've never tried Turkish coffee! That's something I should get on.

I like my tea on the weaker side. I just got a bag of green tea leaves, and it's wonderful! I'm surprised at how few leaves are actually needed.

I read "yerba" on a bottle at the grocery store. I really have no idea what it is, though.
