To be fair here, I have to give you two different answers. There's the answer that comes from what types of play I engage in when playing with My sub and the play I engage in while playing with others. With clip, it's probably something like 65/35. That might be seen as pretty high, but I'm taking into account that we tend to do scenes that are a combination of things. For example, we'll do impact play (as he calls it, a good beating), aftercare, break period, and then move on to something like needles, staples, fire, electricity, etc, then rinse and repeat with the aftercare and so on. In his case, I've found that he's more likely to get more out of the additional types of play if I've beaten him first. The sub space doesn't carry over from one activity to another as he doesn't stay in space that long, but he's more likely to go if he's had the prior trip. In casual play, it's more likely to be 80/20. Many forms of non impact play that I do (needles, wax, etc) has a cost factor that I'm not willing to spend on just anyone. I'm more likely to do wand, fire, cupping, or something along those lines. I'm still more likely to get My own rush from the impact play. I have to admit, I had a hard time with coming up with proper percentages. Categories such as cbt can be considered impact, non impact, or both. Had to throw that out as well as any kind of mental play or mind fuck, as I'm taking the question relates to physical forms of play only.
