Anyone have any good ideas about getting rid of hairballs?

1. Sell them on E-Bay?
2. Keep on brushing.
3. Muzzle.

Otter, what an adorable kitty!

s2s, Very nice pic of Squeaks.  Wow, is her tail long and fluffy!

Angel decided to stay in again today due to the snow, ice, and freezing temps.  She is getting restless, but has been a very good girl and hasn't stalked Lily at all the last couple of days.

Lily was jazzed that I left the door open to the hall coat closet and she was able to sneak in there again for a long nap.  She likes the most uncomfortable places.  She gets in the closet between the vacuum cleaner and the side of the wall.  Doesn't look very comfortable to me, but there's something about it she likes.

Trivia is laying next to me, sleeping soundly, which is amazing since I'm yelling back and forth with Chef about the board of trustees menu.

Eden is being an obnoxious snuggle butt of a pest and refuses to understand what "Go away, not right now!" means.

She's a Maine Coon....rescue at that.  She gets in the bathtub to chase these teeeeeny tiiiiiny little flies...aka no-seeums.  However, as most cats do, she sometimes "sees" things that aren't there......which isn't a problem if we're in the living room and she's jumping up the wall.....when we're in bed, and she stares steadily out the bedroom door and down the hallway....well, that's a little unsettling to say the least!  And when there's 2 of 'em doing it....well, I know it's silly, but dayum!!!  I have to get up and check.  And then have to listen to them snicker....adding insult to injury!

Mystic, I have to agree with you, the choices some cats make for thier resting places would give me aches and pains for days!  Squeaks crams herself into this basket on my bookcase that she's about 3 sizes too big for.  I have suitcases in a closet in the bedroom, and they climb in on top of them.....they are all different sizes, so it's like sleeping on a staircase.  Good thing they are flexible!

OOOO..thunderstorm.....cool!

BK, shame on you for not giving Eden the attention due him (or her)....bad kitteh daddy!

What a beautiful cat you have too soul2share! As far as your question about how do I keep here from eating the plants...she does do it but not that much so I guess I am lucky..I try and keep some of that oat grass around you can grow too and that does the trick.

Angel declined to go outside again today.  The snow, ice, and freezing temps just don't appeal to her.  She probably won't go out tomorrow, as it won't get above freezing and none of that junk will melt.  Looks like she'll be in until Saturday.

Lily spent most of the day in the supply cabinet in my office.  She came out periodically to meow at me and pester me for attention.  She also decided to test the rule about not being allowed to jump up on my work table when I'm working, to see if it's still in effect, and found out that it was.  She has to try that every few months.

Thats a habbit summer has, too....she regular inspects the corners on the top of the walls/ceilings, none of my others does that...I was lucky that my previous landlord didn't charge me as she damaged a fair bit some parts there with her claws...

my cats don't eat plants inside my flat...as I don't have any

But on a serious note our cats back home also never did that, I would know if that would be the case as my mum is obsessed about her plants...gosh did she cause drama when some of her plants died or almost died once they came back from their holiday due to my brother and myself not watering them enough...

Once I brought home from work a plant which was pretty lifeless and gave it to her a la "you like to get life back into plants, here you go." She got that plant a bit better but gave up then as well on that one at some point...

I am simply better off with a cactus...they get water from the kitchen steam and don't show signs of neglect when I forget about them

Hey Soul2share--
I have two maine coon rescues too!  They are absolutely the BEST!  Do yours wrestle?  When mine wrestle, I swear the entire house shakes.  when you can hear them running on carpet....now that's a big cat.

I gave up trying to kick them out of the bathtub in the morning....and have finally resigned to the fact that they get whatever they what, cuz I swear, they outweigh and outmuscle me every time!  I love my gentle giants.

the cat is devious tonight.  She chewed the phone cord 4x- I yelled and it did no good-- so I let her play in the cellar for 10 mins.

Haus, she runs after KB...and they can rumble the floors too....try hardwood!  Smooch and Boo were/are mean to her, so she won't play with KB because everytime he tries, she's afraid she's gonna get hurt...however, she is now getting back at the 2 terrors.....she like to sneak up on them and either whack them or scare them.....she thinks it's hilarious when they jump, foof, hiss and spit at her.  She stands there and just looks at them like "THERE, DAMMIT!  Payback's a bitch!"

But she also runs around chasing the imaginary things that only cats see......and she can rumble the floor all by her lonesome!  She's not exactly a lightweight!  But I would never tell her that....wouldn't want to give her body issues!

Raiikun, yours is a beauty too!  What a little face!  And those ears......what kind of kitteh is it?

Right now Boo is chasing something around...not quite sure what it is, but I'd better go check...it sounds a little bigger than his pistachio nuts......and there's just been a *crash* from the kitchen....brb....

So Misty is not the only hair-chewer around, LOL.  Often, I will take up in the middle of the night to a strange sound, only to realize she's chewing on my hair again.  She started doing this about a year ago, when my stylist used some new products on my hair.  That's what attracted her in the first place, but now she will chew on my hair even when I use my regular products.  Guess she realized it was a fun thing to do and annoys Mom to boot.
