I am a Pro Master in Los Angeles. Recently, I posted on Craigslist for My services, and discovered (after several days of posting) that Craigslist now bans ALL BDSM POSTINGS! Is this unbelieveable OR WHAT? It pissed Me off royally. There is nothing in their facts or TOU about this, mentioning the ban. Nor any reason for the ban. Is it now that they lump Masters and Mistresses in with the common whore? Any feedback on other places to post, will be appreciated. As it appears that craigslist is now just a pile of $)#$)@! Master

Craig's list is completely free. As that they can make any rules they want to make. I personally think Craig's list is great!!! I was looking for a used trash compactor and within 6 hours of placing the ad I had my choice of 5 in my area. I can understand why the erotic section is down. There were many crimes being committed though the list....prostitution, and not the adult kind, murder instead of just rough sex. In fact Chicago is asking Craig's list to reimburse them for the cost of investigations of crimes that center around ads on the list. Maybe Craig's list will go back to being the place to find good deals on used items for great prices.

That's ridiculous. Craigslist cannot be responsible for other's actions! That's like telling the 7-11 its their fault for having a store if I'm robbed there. Ridiculous.

Or just put it this way, if something you owned was being use to HURT and KILL people wouldn't you want to stop it? Taking down those sections was the fastest and most effective way to respond. I don't blame them for not wanting to be a party to crime, and I don't blame them for prioritizing their own interest over your.

Master Um, perhaps because, in the law's eyes, you are. Perhaps the good folks at Craigslist didn't want to go to court simply to support your right to advertise your business on their site for free. Perhaps, instead of vilifying "the common whore" you might consider banding with them to try and change public opinion about what should be considered "criminal".

Thanks, pleasuredancer. I figured I'd focus on just one point in my post... but as a man who has been in love with a woman who at one time was a "common whore," I must admit Big Boy Adrian didn't impress me. She had ethics, compassion for others, and a sense of reality. I wonder how many of those traits he possesses himself.

They don't ban all BDSM postings. They ban professional services postings in the non-pro area. There is an adult section under both the gigs and services sections. What you are prevented from doing is placing a personal ad and then requesting money.

Don't get yourselves in a tiff. I have nothing against whores. But, I do not consider what I do, to be prostitution. IN fact, I respect and admire whores, many live a hard life (while others live a grand life lol) Everyone is a whore to someone - even business owners to their customers. Now, aside from that, thank you Miss Cake - I did try posting My ad in the adult section, but it was banned anyway, even though the copy was absurdly..... vanilla. Well, on to the next.... I am surfing pages.... too bad a whore with huge spiked metal bracelets didn't go apeshit on some of these louse who f$&*($#) up Craigslist and kill his ass - so that THEY would be afraid for once.... rather than the hooker!
