Long time ago I knew some people who ran it. They offered to turn me on but would not let me snort it, insisted that I run it. I refused. I finally tried it more recently, perhaps within the last decade I think. I found it to be a viable alternative to coke because the buzz was very similar but it lasted alot longer. But the meth (called crank around here) did cost considerably more. I guess a clinical evaluation is in order, but I don't want to do it. I haven't done the math and do not intend to.

I have heard that crank can be hard to get off of, and if you had a problem with it I am glad you beat it.

I do what I do, but I face facts. Any drug of abuse sucks your resources, kills you slowly and all that. In fact the root of the word intoxicant is toxic. Kinda fits eh ?

I think I know what filled my void, making me practicallty unaddictable, do you have similar thoughts ? It took me years to simply not want the shit no more. After that time I have been fine, I mean I don't care what goes on in front of me at a party, it doesn't bother me at all.

All in all GT, everyone who escapes the trap is a credit to humanity, In reality, if you never stole, or hurt anyone I consider it a non-issue, except that you hurt yourself. Even if not physically or mentally, monetarily. Sometimes it is juut time to get the monkey off your back..Sometimes you just want to stop. That is what I mean by a day to day decision.

definite physical repercussions ( between genetics and drugs, I have a bunch of fake teeth now)..moneywise, yeah woulda been WAY better off without that particular monkey...mentally?? *snort* who can say?? LOL

I have an addictive personality, thanks to my binge alcoholic father.

I'm still struggling with alcohol and cigarettes.

Drink and smoke in moderation. People do it for 85-90 years somethimes. Just enjoy life.

Beer and pot do enhance my life, but they are not my life. All the powders and pills, I have never found one to do this. Whoever created us put these natural substances here for us, they have no right to make any of that illegal. By extension, they really have nothing to say about anything.

Stay well, I try to. Even though I am not 100% successful in that, at least I don't have THAT problem.

That's what my little brother got popped for, Greedy. It was in Florida too. He was on probation for a 2nd degree battery conviction in 2001. He hit a guy in the face with a golf club outside a bar. According to him and his friends, they were watching a fight and my brother took the golf club away from some drunk guy. A rather large fellow (I saw him in court, he was a big dude. My brother is skinny and 5'11") saw him take it. He advanced on my little brother, and my brother warned him to back up. The guy didn't, and my brother popped him. So he got put on 6 years of probation for that.

On to Florida. He's a carpenter, and he got a job doing construction in 2004 after a hurricane down there. He got pulled over in the parking lot of the hotel his crew was staying at. He had meth, chemicals to make meth, and some weed. So he and his entire crew all got popped for cooking meth, intent to deliver, possession of instruments of crime, and possession of methamphetamines. They didn't even fuck with the weed charge; it was dropped. So he got his probation revoked. Florida extradicted him back to Arkansas, and he got 6 years. He paroled out after a year and a half. I hate to say it, but prison was good for him. He got off the junk, and he straightened himself out. His parole officer just put him on unsupervised status a couple of weeks ago. Florida released their hold on him a few months ago when he paid off his fines and fees. He's doing really well; I'm proud of him.

I understand the addict mentality. My drugs of choice have been alcohol and marijuana. I haven't smoked pot in 10 years. It made me paranoid and I really didn't enjoy it after awhile. But I remember waking up and sparking a bowl pretty much everyday when I was in my early 20's. My entire lifestyle was marijuana back then. All my friends were potheads; I budgeted pot as a necessity with every paycheck. When I quit, I lost a lot of friends. But I made new friends. I still smoke cigarettes and I still drink like an Irish sailor. But, I don't get into trouble anymore. I don't go to bars and pick fights like I used to do. I thought getting into fights was hillarious when I was younger. I don't do that anymore. It's stupid, and the consequences are too great.
