hello all is it me or are there so called pro dommes out there now that are giving genuine pro dommes a bad name by genuine i mean those who like what they do so for a paying customer senses that and gets more from the service offered the new type is soley after money has no enjoyment from BDSM and makes no bones about telling you all this and each sub is a worthless bit of dirt which is not the case no Dom/me can be that without us subs . Most of these so called pro dommes are kids playing at it id like subs and Dom/mes to give me your thoughts on this even if you think im being stupid

One sub's ProDomme is a Goddess and another sub's ProDomme is the devil. Sorry you seem to have had a bad experience. I guess Buyer Beware is the only advice I can offer. However, please remember that the wrong Domme for you is the right Domme for someone else.

Giving money to people is actually a fetishfor some, not asking for anything in exchange and to be honest who are any of us to judge another persons kink?

Some subs need the humiliation aspect. If you do not then you need to communicate that in your initial conversations.

I really have no idea. I do count a few Dommes as friends and some have or were pro-dommes though my interaction with them is and always has been as a friend to another friend. I don't view them as a pro-domme...just see them as a fellow human being.

By my definition being a pro domme is a job. Am I a fake worker if I don't obviously enthuse in my job? I don't think so... Of course, making the customer think that I am enjoying the clients company might get me repeat business - and so might be regarded as being professional about winning that repeat business. One could argue that is more fake than "give me the money - bend over...." As others have said, objectification arouses some and not others. Talk to the pro about what you want - you're more likely to get it that way.

lol kinda like saying there are real and not so real pole dancers or (or? and!) prostitutes. All are "real", really, you can touch them, they walk away with your money. Some guys want a bdsm pseudo relationship experience, some just want a flogging and stfu I already HAVE a relationship. The types of Pros is based in demand. More people demanding provides enough customer base for niche markets. Any industy participants whining about their industry gaining enough depth to support niche markets is, in my way of looking at it, a disservice to your own industry. Next I'll be seing call girls being bashed on picket signs carried by street walkers. The base is the money. Anything else is a customer service preference.

Didn't someone post almost exactly the same thing a couple of months ago? Apparently, there's an even higher percentage of pro-Dommes in the UK than in America, though there are plenty of guys who complain about fake Dommes, submissives, and male Dominants here, too. Anyway, some pro-Dommes do enjoy their work, and even have submissives in their personal life, but as a client, I don't think you can expect to make the leap to them doing things to you because they want to. Personally, I'm not a pro, and was very offended when someone offered to buy me stuff in exchange for cyber-Dominating him.[:'(] I still had one guy accuse me of being a fake and tell me to go to Match.com, before I found my Master, because I didn't want some random naked stranger having access to MY home! I thought he was a jerk, not a submissive at all, and wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if he has to pay in order to get any BDSM or sex, with that attitude.

I think of pro dominants a lot like people think of professional athletes. Everyone who plays a sport tends to want to be a professional athlete, and many will go into the minor leagues attempting to become great stars. Some may even fool the audiences for awhile, but eventually the weak get pulled out of the major leagues and all that is left are the superstars and those who are still fooling the audiences. That's no different with pro dominants because one thing that seems to work for a lot of amateur professional dominants is attraction. If a woman is attractive, she already has an "in" with pro domination, but then she has to do something with those looks to actually become successful. I can't tell you how many women I've come across in my time who were flat out gorgeous but failed miserably as professional dominants (and submissives) mainly because they just didn't have it in them. I've even seen some semi-attractive women become HUGE draws as professional dominants because they were just that good. What you're probably experiencing right now is a bad economy where women are now looking for an easy way to make money, and there's this false fantasy that pro domming is the easy way to do it. I was at a munch a few years before the recession started, and I was listening to three "dominant" women talking about how they were going to get into the pro domme business. All three were horrendously unattractive; I'm sorry, but there's really no getting around that. All I could think to myself was they'd have to be brilliant dominants to make it in the business. Then I heard their conversation of what they thought they needed to do as pro dominants, and I realized right then and there, they'd never succeed because they didn't have an inkling of what they might have to offer in the business because they didn't see it as a business but as a get rich scheme. So, when you're next thinking about this thing, just remember that the weak get cast out pretty fast in this business. I used to frequent a professional house of domination where the owners knew me really, really well so they used to set me up on sessions with the new girls because they wanted to know my thoughts on how they worked. Of course, they'd never tell the women this because that's like telling a restaurant that it's about to serve the food critic and expecting a normal experience. Sometimes, I'd get to be part of double sessions when they were training a new girl because the professional I knew wanted to see what my thoughts were in the dynamic with the new trainee. It's very easy to start figuring out who is going to make it, and who never will. Don't get me wrong. I guessed badly from time to time, but that was pretty rare.
