does anyone watch it? and if so, isn't it awesome? =D

also, for any anime fans, i know of a site where you can watch countless animes for free.

SirLost -> RE: Death Note (7/27/2009 3:06:24 AM)

Yes, watched the whole episodes last year and think it's awesome, as well. Even though I adore L, I can't help feeling a complete sympathy for Yagami Light.

awesome, i've watched deathnote a few times on adultswim on saturdays but i recently found animefreak.tv and i'm watching full episodes there. it's definiately one of my favourite anime series

Watching anime for free, that's what torrents are for.

And yes, Death Note is pretty awesome. (Although the last arc / ending could have been better)

don't spoil the ending for me

petmonkey -> RE: Death Note (7/27/2009 5:10:56 AM)

i've seen a couple of episodes and know that i will love it.  Therefore, i'm avoiding it by watching "Berserker" on Veoh.com instead.  i have to wait until i have time for a DeathNote marathon.

Without any spoiler,

The live action movies have alternative endings, as I know. But I must say the live actions just disturb me and I'm quite satisfied with the original ending of the anime.

And I think the best way to watch this anime is to have all the episodes ready to watch (instead of being obligated to wait for the next episode). Because there were some episodes that I just couldn't wait for seeing the next, the story is so engrossing.

fadedshadow -> RE: Death Note (7/27/2009 5:31:22 AM)

i already pulled an all-nighter watching 13 episodes in a row lol

Fnordstrum -> RE: Death Note (7/27/2009 2:58:48 PM)

I think there are maybe three episodes (not counting the last one of course) where I would feel comfortable stopping and watching the rest later... Otherwise pretty much the whole thing is like, Oh Em Gee Must see the next episode now!

Man I don't know how anyone can stand watching ANYTHING at only one episode a week, unless it's something purely episodic.

I think this explains the increased rate of suicides in Japan.

autoRelease -> RE: Death Note (7/27/2009 5:32:23 PM)

I have the manga & have watched the series. I like the ending in the manga better.

fadedshadow -> RE: Death Note (7/27/2009 7:32:28 PM)

wonder if they have death note manga at borders. i'll have to look

FlipFlip -> RE: Death Note (7/28/2009 1:48:10 AM)

I must say Death Note grabbed my attention for a while but i was disappointed by the final story arc.
The Manga of Berserk is 100 times better then the anime and still going.
Gantz may interest you if you like berserk.
I think thats all i say for now.

fadedshadow -> RE: Death Note (7/28/2009 2:44:53 AM)

i love berserk!

petmonkey -> RE: Death Note (7/28/2009 7:52:31 PM)

Borders would be a good bet for most manga, although yaoi is often kept in backstock or not kept around at all.
Oddly, i've read comic books and graphic novels, watched anime, but have never been able to read past the first couple pages of most of the manga i've picked up--even when i know i'll like the storyline.  i can't really explain why beyond the reason that simple black & white line drawing doesn't do it for me in this instance or something.  i'm surrounded by too much to entertain myself with. . . it's one of those ridiculous first world problems.
