HARRISBURG, PA – The VeriChip Corporation, a Delray Beach, Fla.-based provider of radio frequency identification (RFID) systems for healthcare, is supporting a Pennsylvania bill that would ban the forced implantation of identification devices in people. The bill, introduced by Democratic State Rep. I seen a comment that the poster did not think the bill goes far enough. It is interesting that this comes up so quick.

I think it will be forced, but in a different way. In times to come people may find it difficult if not impossible to do certain things without the chip. Things like renting a car, opening a bank account, things like that. If you think about it, there are many things that used to be voluntary but are now mandated. History will simply repeat itself. T

T For sure. I bought my sinus tablets. At one time I was going to pop my drivers license into the microwave. Well- they scan the DL to buy the sinus tabs. (CVS) (one can only purchase x amount as druggies melt down the pills to make meth) So the scanner worked. Think of the scams that will happen. I seen they are selling anitvirus software for phones now. Enter the smart grid. You may need an anti virus for your everything. I wondered that they could slip nano RFIDS into vaccines.

My father has dementia. I wouldn't want this in him because he constantly picks at any irritation on his skin. He would be ripping his skin open to get it out. Forgetting about the privacy implications, a dementia patient is likely to hurt themselves trying to remove it. It's very common for him to rip/scratch at anything and not realize he's bleeding. For privacy, it could just give an ID number and a phone number to call to tell an answering service that they found an elderly person wandering. The service would then look up his ID number and call the appropriate person - next of kin or nursing home. As long as I can control the info on the chip to the minimal, I have no problem sticking it in his sneakers though. Hell my pet's tag has my phone number on it. I sure want to find my dad if he gets lost.
