Mindcrime Live - An arena full of fans singing along word for  word all night long. What a rush.

Metallica - First time - Justice Tour.  Grrr Still pissed my buddy lost the legal bootleg tape we made during the Black Tour.

Tesla - Great live band. Still out there rockin the road.

Extreme - Awesome live band whether getting the funk out or slowing it down with ballads.

Jethro Tull - Flutes Rock.

Kiss -- First Farewell Tour. The Kings of Spectacle.

STP -- Saw them as an opening act and they still owned the stage.

Clash of the Titans  - Alice in Chains (opening act) Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer. Great Lineup.

Kansas ( thankfully the monkey wasnt at the keyboard that night) and a surprisingly Damn good Dr Hook.

Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. - Still sounding as good as ever.

Chet Atkins - Amazing picking

Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. A great melding of musical styles. One of the few truly unique bands.

Cheap Trick. On a little floating barge that they played like it was Madison Square Garden.

B. B. King.  Nuff Said:)

Montgomery Gentry -- Free Show. Free Shirt. Free Bourbon and a Damn Good Time.

Willie Phoenix -- Anywhere. Anytime.

And many people in small clubs in many places.


As for Judas Priest. Saw them once. It was an interesting show. This was when Rob was getting bored with the band. The band itself  played everything full tilt and there was Rob walking around the stage going through the motions. You could tell he wasn't really into it. Yet he never missed a beat or sounded off. Interesting show indeed.

Speaking of Peter Frampton and Willie Phoenix. I may ahem be to sick to go to work tommorow night

Status: offline 		The absolute best....simply because I am in love/lust with him.....is Hank Williams III. I saw him here in Little Rock earlier this year in a little club where everyone was packed in like sardines. I had made my way straight to the front where I was about 20 feet from him and the band. OMG, it was heaven. I felt like I could stretch out and touch him. What a rockin' show. I loved every song they did!!!!

I also got to see another hero, Chris Knight. For those who have been deprived of this genius, he is a KY singer/songwriter who puts most of Trashville's "stars" to absolute shame. A poet of the highest order. We saw him in a little club in Little Rock back in February and it was also amazing. Getting to be so close to such a brilliant artist was unforgettable.

I've seen Willie a couple of times as well as Yonder Mountain String Band. Excellent shows every time.

Saw AC/DC and Metallica back in the '90's and both kicked ass!

So many great shows.................luci

Of course I know Camel. Do you have a favorite album of theirs? Sadly, Peter Bardens pass away a couple/few years ago. He was very good, but I think Andy Latimer (guitar) was the bands true genius.

The Snow Goose album is really an exquisite, epic piece of rock/classical composition. I tend not to like their later stuff nearly as much ... just didn't have the obvious effort, passion and distinction.

Just FYI: Camel was a British Progressive Rock band from the mid-'70s. They kind of bridged the gap between Prog Rock and what was known as the Canterbury Scene. Steeleye Span and Caravan being 2 of the more well known (comparitively speaking!) Canterbury bands.

There are a bunch of Camel Vids up on Youtube. To start, if you are interested, key in on "Rhyader" or "The Snow Goose" in your Camel search ... it's some of their best stuff, IMHO.

Status: offline 		The Doobie Brothers, Little River Band, Peter Frampton was incredible. Marvin Gaye I dearly loved. My all time favorite was and is Carlos Santana.

Status: offline 		Led Zeppelin for 5 nights in 1977 at Madison Square Garden In New York no one could play power rock like those guys.
Queen was the tightest band I ever saw.....like attending a Broadway production,every note just so.
And a thousand other acts...on a thousand other nights.

Last year I flew out to England from Sydney to see the Replicas tour, saw him in Manchester, Brighton and London, so worth it.
And this year he came out here, saw him in Sydney and Melbourne. Would have gone to Brisbane too but was sick.

He is so brilliant live! I love watching the way he moves.

Seen them a few times. Always great. I agree with you. I saw them before Halford left and felt the same way watching.
(Being a vocalist, I pay special attention to other vocalists.) Matter of fact, I'm going to see them in August with Whitesnake. Very glad Halford is back.

Van Halen: Women and Children First tour. From the second album, until Dave left the band, if they played 2 nights at the Garden and 2 nights at the Coliseum...I was there...2 nights at the Garden and 2 nights at the Coliseum. In case you couldn't tell...I'm a VH fan.

Queensryche: Mind Crime Live. (Also saw them open for KISS when all they had out was their 4 song EP. Geoff Tate wasn't human back then!)

KISS: Many times, but the reunion tour (In full makeup) was one of the great ones.

Mr Big: At a great place in Baltimore called "Hammerjacks." I think tickets cost seven dollars. Also saw KIX there too many times to remember.
(Man, that was a great place!)

King's X: Many times, many places. They never got the "big break." But what an awesome band! Any King's X concert is a "best" concert.

Ozzy with Motley Crue opening: Madison Square Garden. "Shout at the Devil" had just come out. I had a big head of bleached blond hair and a red leather outfit on. (Yeah, I was a beautiful young man in the 80's.) I got stopped all over the place because people thought I was Vince Neil. I was sitting in the front row and Vince did a few double-takes himself. Too funny!

Just a few off the top off my head. (That fortunately, still has hair on it!)

Status: offline 		Greedy -- I think what is confusing you. Is that Peter Frampton has an album called " Frampton's Camel" which was considered a group project.

Cuffkinks -- Judas Priest -- Yeh in one way you got admire a guy who could still sound that good even when it was obvious he was just going through the same motions he had done a thousand times before.

Whitesnake  --  Another good live band. I thought they were much better than the Crue when I saw them together.

slaveluci:  I saw Waylon & Willie once - awesome show!  Waylon was stumbling around a lot but wasn't that the norm for him anyway? LOL

Thunderbird:  I had no idea Pete Bardens died.  I had one of his solo CDs:  "Seen One Earth".  I was shocked when I put it in for the first time because I had written one of the songs he did (total coincidence - I heard the song and ran over to my Kurzweil sequencer and pressed Track 6 - they were almost identical).  He was awesome.  Also, re: Camel - Yep, I had Snow Goose.  Wow, I forgot about that.  iTunes, here I come...

I just saw Boz Scaggs last night.  A mellow show all the way around but very good in it's own rite.

I saw Willie and B.B. King at an outdoor show in Michigan...  INCREDIBLE!!


Ok, and I saw BArry Manilow in Vegas, in the 80s (during my serious head-banging years)..
What a SHOWMAN!!   (and I was grateful that none of my rocker friends were there to see how many of Barry's songs and jingles I could sing along with,.,..LOL)
