I am feeling confused.

You have recieved many posts with basically the same information:
report them to the authorities and CM.

If you are appalled and disgusted, why does it seem like you aren't doing anything?

I am not saying you are not doing anything; I am saying that it seems like you are posting here instead of calling the Dutch police.

Often the best way to feel better over a situation you feel powerless over is taking what ever action you are able.

Cat, obviously I have no real means to make you believe this, without forwarding private mails. Which I wont do, for reasons of privacy. Even if I'm appalled  and disgusted beyond belief..
For I'm not the jugde here.
.
But I would like you to know I've left sites over this issue before.
Like FL.
Cause John Baku simply refuses to ban obvious paedo's?
He just removes their postings and otherwise lets then be?

I. for one, dont want to be a part of a site that impliciitely or explicitely allows paedo's? Ever?
It's wrong on all levels?

Cause, by its nature, it simply cant be consentual?

You are causing me to change my opinion of you.  Earlier, I thought you were interested in doing the right thing.  Now I am concerned that you may be passive-aggressive, with no spine to stand up for what you believe in.  Instead you hope Daddy will come along -- be it John Baku or CollarMe Support -- to do your dirty work for you.  Well, you are the only person with this evidence, if indeed it exists.  Behave like a responsible adult... or don't.  You will not prevent future child molestation by wringing your hands, doing nothing, and waiting for the CyberWhiteKnight to come prancing by.

motje -> RE: sites responsabilaty? (7/12/2009 5:40:21 PM)

angelika,
I was only inquiring what the usual rules and policy out here are before calling for the light brigade?
If site management would have a policy to (IP) ban individuals based on certain info, as some other sites do, I wouln t have to act?
And in fact would have overstepped my boundariesby doing so?
Especially cause they dont live in my country?

And please believe me, now I know that the site wont act or is unable to do so... I will.
Just wanted to be sure.

There really was no need for that.
You don know me.
I was just trying to figure out which way I should take.
See my intital post.
I asked where I could go with this info.

I never, ever stated I wouldnt react (in fact I stated the opposite),
I just asked for the proper way to do that here.

angelikaJ -> RE: sites responsabilaty? (7/12/2009 6:33:25 PM)

This is not meant to offend:
The chat logs you posses are what would be needed for the proper authorities to find them and stop them.

There is all kinds of information in them.

So, logic tells me that if you want to stop them the BEST way to do that is by notifying the Dutch police.
It does state in the terms of service to contact your local law enforcement.

CM might be able to ban them but that won't stop them.
They will just go someplace else.
Or use another IP.
I am a little surprised that you can't see that.

Why are you afraid of doing the right thing?
Is it that you would prefer to not go public with your being on a BDSM website?
I can understand that.
But sometimes it is necessary to step out of one's comfort zone to do the right thing.

You hate "paedos".
You can help stop them.

CM can't do what you can do.
CM does not have the information you have.

It may seem as pointless as pissing in the wind but it is still doing the right thing.

As I pointed out in my earlier post, it is ridiculously easy to change your IP address. Banning someone's IP address is ineffective as what you end up doing most of the time is banning somebody else.

Two simple ways to change your IP address
1) Unplug your modem for 24 hours, then plug it back in, 90% of the time you will have a new IP address.
2) Start->Run. Type cmd, hit enter, type ipconfig /release, hit enter. Wait an hour or two, type ipconfig /renew, hit enter. Again you will almost certainly have a new IP address.

This of course leaves out the whole area of using an online proxy server, which is as simple to do as using Google, and will assign you an IP address other than your actual one.

Cut the drama, one comment raises awareness, two comments causes eyebrow raising, three comments screams drama llama.

You know the rules, cut to the chase, do it and drop it. One might start to think your kinks are...

                                           ...odd.

If you have not reported the profiles to CM they cannot do anything about it as you have already said there is nothing on the profile that would indicate their "preferences"
You are the only one that can report them as you have the back up to prove what they have said.

The site cannot be "implicitely or explicitely allowing pedos" that they do not know exist.

Obviously from the length of time this post has been going on you have by now already reported these events to both the authorities and to CM?

motje -> RE: sites responsabilaty? (7/13/2009 12:43:52 AM)

Have reported it at Cm, but as said before that wont help cause there's nothing in the profiles that indicates this.
Printed the entire conversations out and have an appointment with the police this afternoon. It doesnt just work with a phone call to the police in the middle of the night.

CatdeMedici -> RE: sites responsabilaty? (7/13/2009 5:56:14 AM)

...Oh by all means dear, do keep us posted on what they say, I would be very interested in what the police have to say about an alternative site that you chose to participate in and what some alleged screen persona said.

oh and one last thought, though Daddy breeders may perv this site, (A) they don't last long and (B) pedo's do not habituat sites like this when they can use My space, facebook, My yearbook, etc--and no dear they do NOT belong to networks--WAY too dangerous.

I am a mod on a precious metals site.    The IP ban is WONDERFUL to use.  A nice feature.  :-)

Except for the little fact that I pointed out....it has no real effect on anybody with a basic knowledge of computer netwroking.

You all may want to take a look at this CM profile. There are references to illegal physical activities being done to UMs which, in my opinion, have no place on this site:

DemonKia -> RE: sites responsabilaty? (7/13/2009 11:39:18 PM)

Cool, sapa . . .. I reported it, & I note that the report form specifically has a tick-box for inappropriate underage stuff . .. .

Oh blimey that must be one of the funniest profiles I have read on CM yet. I would guess it was written by some spotty teenager looking to shock and managing only to give readers a laugh. Nobody could take it seriously.

But I have a burning question.
The last few weeks I've been contacted by no less than 3 so called domly males here, that all were seriously enquiring bout sex with minors,  telling me it was natural to do so, and more disgusting stuff like that... and all of them within a few mins of chat or after only 1 previous mail btw.

What are this sites rules about obvious pedo's?
If there aren't any rules on this, I'd like to know, for than I'll prefere to leave here asap.
If there are in fact rules, who can I adress here on this subject? And will they be banned?

Could it be that you're just testing the waters? Trying to cover your ass?

Something's rotten in the state of Denmark, er, the Netherlands.

frazzle -> RE: sites responsabilaty? (7/14/2009 3:08:41 AM)

I wondered that, as the Netherlands has some of the most relaxed laws on sex that exist.
