As you know I have black outs.  I went to a DR, 2 actually no resolve.  For right now- I know I am stabilized when I want something to eat.

I await a referral  for a new P-DR.   Tho- that one med is being covered by my regular DR.  I am sorta upset that my typical mode to hurry out of a black out is not working as it usually does.

I need some new ideas for dumping over 10 years of a medley of meds.   I am taking the efexxor down abit more... skipping some of the blood pressure pills.   Trying to eat only nutritious foods and not premade.

I am always concerned that the grass, yard, mail, everything is tended to prior to a black out.

I know the fling was at the door too.  But he can wait. I like to bang him, but not when I am in the down mode.

Besides he always comes back...

Once I have an appetite, I know I am good.  :-)

This is amazing. I was just thinking about you in another thread, at the very moment you were posting this. I was worried because I hadn't noticed you around for a few days. So, you're saying you have your appetite back then? All is good for the moment?

I am eating an egg sandwich.   So all is good.  :-)

You were thinking about me?   I am flattered.     :-)   Sometimes when I over post or get too heated up in my rants- I step aside so as to cool off.

My appetite is back -that means I am good.  :-)  yay.

At one time you were asking for advice...not sure if you are in this thread BUT...I'm going to give it anyway.

STOP second-guessing your doctors and self-diagnosing...you may kill yourself. What possible good could it do to stop taking your blood pressure medicines?

Look... check yourself into a hospital...hell with the costs...Find out what is wrong and get your medicines reevaluated. Then let them try to collect the medical bills.

You are responsible to demand your doctors find the source of your blackouts. You are a danger to yourself and others around you in your present medical state.

Do you want to be well…or do you enjoy the attention from your infirmities?

I don’t mean to be hard on you believe me…if I didn’t care I wouldn’t bother…I like having you around on the board…But… If you don’t address this problem directly and quickly you could further damage your health and maybe the health of those you care about.

This is rarely a good idea. Did you tell your doctor you are doing so? If you feel you do not need the blood pressure meds, then you can ask your doctor to ween you off of them, under his supervision, or just reduce the dosage.

I am not a doctor or a psychiatrist but that first post describes what sounds a lot like a bipolar manic to depressed swing.

Might I strongly suggest that you stop messing around with your prescriptions and take what the docs have prescribed.

I am not bi-polar.

It could be 4 more months to get the P-Dr referral.

I should be good now for 10 days, maybe longer.   The blood pressure pills- I can live with.  But the effexxor is on the way out.  I had taken the dose down to 75 mg where it has been for per haps 6 months.  So now I could drop to 37.5 or zero.

The job of many DRs is to sell rxes.    My regular DR knows my thoughts on the system- and I can tell he  holds back from saying the line that he is supposed to say.   He is fine with the idea of me reducing meds.   I had a batch of blood work done- and everything is fine.

The one med- does have me messed up- and that very well could warrant inpatient.    I prefer not to - unless I have to.

In general I am not a sickly person.   But there are injuries, which have healed to some extent.

A big problem is the one med.  In my research I find not much.     My goal is to delete all meds one day.  But that could be 3 years from now.

IMO the medical profession is sloppy- with these meds... and the more I see of junk science- the more I think that I want off of it all.  The next time I see a pill pusher in the DR office waiting room- I am going to give the salesman a peice of my mind.

I admit I have not read all the posts in this and your previous thread about the blackouts. However, I have some input for you to consider if it has not already been done. A friend of mine at work has had his wife getting unexplained blackouts as well. Two weeks ago they had her wear a heart monitor for a couple days because there were no other clues at that time. When the results were checked, they found that several times over the course of wearing the monitor, her heart rate had dropped below 40 bpm, where normal is in the 60-70 range. They still have no definitive answers as to why this is occurring, but it's a place to start their investigation now.

Just something to throw out at your Dr., if this has not already been looked at (as I said) as a possibility in your case.
