I love how unshallow it is. Well for me it's really unshallow and im a REALLY shallow person.

Like if im looking for a Dom and i don't necessarily find them physically attractive I will still speak to them. I just noticed that and i think it's really cool!

People involved in BDSM are going to be roughly as shallow or deep as most other population subsets. One would think that being part of a sexual/social minority, that people involved in WIITWD are generally likely to be more tolerant towards others who share a minority dynamic or kink...but you'd be surprised.

That being said, I've met a number of rather fantastic people here.

hhmm...I admit I'm shallow but I still talk to people I'm not attracted to whether it be in bdsm or the rest of my life.

Talking to someone doesn't mean I wanna get it on with them. It just means I'm polite.

Or you saying you are more receptive to scene/play with someone even if you think they are ugly? Their ugliness can be overlooked if there is a kinkmatch?

I think what you are noticing is the same thing i am noticing. That the Doms within BDSM seem to have standard they live up too. They are polite and trustworthy, IMO. Cause they know that if they can not gain that trust and be respectable to you , they will not play.

Welcome to the group Kellyx. As you just found out, nothing matters here with how anyone looks. Big, Small or what ever size a person is, doesn't matter with BDSM. We are more interested in what is inside (Like a evil mind...LOL), that what is outside.

No, when I look at a profile pic taken in a bathroom and think good gawd they need to clean that place up--I think we are pretty shallow too.

Dating is one thing. Talking is another. I talk to lots of people who for one reason or another I wouldn't want to date.

I do my own grocery shopping. I hold a job. I have people do work on my place. I attend synagogue. I have neighbors. I go to comedy clubs. At each place, I interact with people that I will not date, and whose looks are irrelevant.

If I didn't "talk" to people I don't find attractive, I would go through life as a mute. Granted, some may find that a pleasing option, but it wouldn't work too well in my day to day operations

"Talk" ing to people doesn't have to involve an attraction on any level. If someone finds it does, I would have to agree they certainly are "shallow." What if no one had found Gandhi or Einstein attractive enough to talk to?

Not being attracted to someone doesn't make them "ugly" and "ugly" is such a subjective word that there can never be a consensus as to what it involves.

That being said, I can talk to someone I consider physically "ugly" and enjoy it much more than someone "ugly" in other ways such as being so shallow and close-minded you judge a person's merit based only on their outer appearance. I know it's cliche but to paraphrase Ron White: "Ugly can be fixed. You can't fix stupid." I'd rather talk to an "ugly" person anyday than a stupid one
