This was yet another reason for me to love Johnny

This month's Vanity Fair, featuring a huge interview with Johnny Depp. It included the following quote...

"Die hard rock'n'rollers, in fact, consider Depp an audio savant and musical
talent-for his facility on guitar. On board, Depp spins Tom Waits, Bright Eyes,
Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Iggy Pop, Warren Zevon, Tom Petty, James Booker, The
Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and R.E.M., along with an earful of Australian Band
Augie March, whose lyrics he regular recites aloud
."

Well, I'm going to go see it today, I think. I've heard some so-so reviews, that it's too long.... we'll see.

Both my ums went and said it wasn't all that. They are 17 & 19 just to give a perspective and they are male so don't see the attraction of Johnny Depp as well as their mother does lol

Okay, just got back.

It's a very good movie. A bit long, about 2 hours 20 minutes, but I didn't once go "geez, is this almost through?". Depp did a fine job, as usual, and Christian Bale, as G-Man Melvin Purvis, was somewhat... wooden.  On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a solid 7.5.

Lashra, I'm looking forward to Bruno too , I loved Borat, and I'm also going to see the new Tarantino movie when it comes out, Inglorious Basterds (think that's the title).

Not sure what that one is, LaT and Kelly, let me Google .... ah, that's the animated one? It did look interesting. There's also one coming called District 9, I think, about an alien craft that gets stranded on Earth. Might be good, might not lol. I want to see Funny People, with Adam Sandler, think it's out the end of July.

No, definitely not animated. It's Daniel Day Lewis's film for the year. He limits himself to approx one a year. I love his choices and, as Kelly said, it has an amazing cast.

EVERY Johnny Depp movie is worth going to (except that Gilbert Grape bullshit).

Even Secret Window, and I won't go into what Koepp did to THAT...

Ah ha, that does look promising. He's a good actor, loved In the Name of the Father, and Last of the Mohicans.

Here's the  one I thought  y'all were talking about: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0472033
