I'm on FB, MS and twitter.

There have been almost no hits from FB, quite a few from MS, and the only hits I've gotten on twitter (besides one of my darlings here) have been from people I don't know.

My computer does NOT like the apps.. so I don't use them (on ANY of the services...).

meh.  just another way to kill time on the computer (like I don't spend too much time on this damned thing as it is.....)

Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace are where quality time goes to die.

Having said that, I have an acct on each.

I got dragged onto FB by a very good high school era friend.  We chat almsot every day via IM so I didn't need FB for that.  HouseSub: I'm with you: most of the people I knew in high school were assholes then and (big suprise) they're still assholes now.

I'm on MS because it's where I found a group of fellow former employees of the same company and we use it to meet for drinks once in a while.

And finally, you won't actually find -me- on Twitter.  I've never understood why anyone needs to update the world on what they're doing at this very minute.  Is anyone really THAT interesting?  Although it seems that various traffic and public safety types are using Twitter to send live updates on traffic conditions and stuff like that.  That seems like a good use of the technology.

I created my Twitter account after reading an article about how several fake Twitter acounts were far more interesting than their real counterparts.  I think they mentioned that a fake Britney Spears account was far more interesting than Ms Spears' actual account.  So that got me to thinking...  Once upon a time, when I had to sit in traffic on my way to work, they announced on the radio that E. E. Milne had died.  To occupy my time I created "Winnie the Pooh: The Lost Episodes".  These were short plot descriptions of what life might really be like in the 100 Acre Wood.  The most obvious changes were that Tiggr is a coke-fiend and that Eeyore is a heroin addict.  Like I said - obvious :D

So out there now on Twitter is: The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in the 100 Acre Ghetto.  Frighteningly, there are over 80 people following it.

I have FB and MS (have twitter too, but have never used it). I use them mostly to keep in touch with friends and family back home. It's so much easier to post a note or a blog about what's going on here than to actually have to speak to any of them. I have refused my mothers friend request 6 times on FB though, the woman just wont take a hint.

Also at the moment my honey is away on holiday and while we're texting pretty much nonstop (damn those international texting charges) it's nice to see his updates and know what he's been up to.

It's just a quick easy way to keep in touch really. I will agree the games are a killer though, and those stupid quizzes, I spend more time trying to beat others people's scores than should be legal.

15 Mins of fame.  People like to believe they are important and that some guy in Tn, some woman in the UK, some couple in Brazil truly needs to see what they have been up to.
I am not drawn to these sites.

Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter are all ways for me to keep in touch.  And to keep abreast on friends lives that I either cant call, or dont have the time to call.  I am also, addicted to the apps on myspace, but not so much on FB.  Twitter is updated either every day, or every other day.  Meh.  Its also a good way to rant about asshole customers, or let friends know where I am roaming to in the city so they can drop in and hang too.
